When you hit the pentagram button dont leave the room. That button spawns either a devil or angel deal but those doors despawn if you leave the room. So you basically fought multiple bosses for no reason. 5:48 For spikes positioned like this, its hard to do at first but you can walk in between them and avoid taking damage by walking through the tiny gap where the corners of the spikes meet

Congrats on the win! The 'boss fight' you encountered on each floor is entirely optional - you'll see the wave counter reads 11/10. The two 'mini boss waves' are the actual boss fight and the door to the next level gets unlocked after defeating them. The last wave is just to fight an optional tougher boss and get access to an angel/devil deal. As you saw, the angel/devil deal rooms will likely go away when you leave the room they spawn in, there is a chance that they may still appear, but most likely they won't stay around. Also there are a few ways you can increase your chances to get either/both of these deal chances. Taking red heart damage from enemies on a floor will reduce your chance and taking it in the boss fight itself significantly reduces your chances. Blowing up certain things may increase your chances, and completely ignoring a devil room will reduce your devil chance and increase your devil chance. Finally taking any kind of devil deal(where you pay max health for an item) will completely remove your ability to get angel rooms

1. Reduce HUD offset, it kinda hides doors and you may skip good rooms (like devil rooms you didn't notice after defeating the extra boss) 2. You can press tab once to toggle the timer, score (in normal mode) and full map, which is usually transparent at about 30%, but you can configure that in the in-game settings. 3. You can restart by holding R. It will reset the run, usually good when you got a useless/very weak item in the first treasure room 4. antibirth music+++ mod makes the game's music feel like less of an ambient noise, but of an actual music

To answer your question, greed mode is good for character unlocks assuming you play and beat greed mode with every character. Also when you beat greed, make sure you have a lot of money left over for the greed machine that spawns after the final boss, you’ll regret it later if you don’t as its important for a lot of helpful unlocks in the future

Soapy, if you want to get more mods the first one you should get is Mod Config Menu. That mod will allow you to edit other mods such as making the UI for External Item Descriptions smaller.

As a fairly new player to isaac myself a big issue i have with greed mode is mostly as azazel and that is that i keep flying over the button and taking damage that i simply just dont need to take :) and sometimes as soon as i press the button to start the waves ill just immediately take damage from the spikes even though i moved off the button

Greed mode the more you fill the end donation box with money you unlock more stuff and you unlock greedier that is like greed mode but hard. You can get new items from donating, add-ons to some characters, a nerd game mode (greedier), and filling the donation to the Max gives a extra special gift to the player

So in greed mode every time you clear the 11th wave a deal will spawn which you missed most of them and you got a broken build of mutant spider+sacred heart and magic mushroom. Also you can unlock stuff in greed mode basically after beating ultra greed a donation machine will spawn and putting enough coins in will unlock stuff and theres multiple unlocks from the machine all at different amount of coins donated

Love your videos man and there’s no way to counter this except with experience, but every time I click on one of your videos I just know it’s going to stress me tf out haha. Not knowing you can tap fire chocolate milk and charging every single time almost dying in the process being a prime example

This might be a little too soon but the way you progress in the main game (normal/hard) is by beating moms heart (the final boss of the womb) 10 times. Good luck

The pentagram button is for the devil and angel rooms. Since you skipped a devil room that gave you a guaranteed angel room at 14:23 you can also hear the holy sound when it spawned but those room dissapear if you leave the main area so you missed it. It also shows you the special room chances at the bottom of your stats at left. You can skip loading screens and reroll items in the shop with the machine if you it coins. At the end of greed runs a donation machine spawns which you should give money to unlock certain things

The way that greed mode works is that you can prests the button to start spawning waves,the timer shows when the next wave will spawn. There are 10 waves the last 2 are boss waves after this you can do a extra hard boss wave to get a angel or devil deal but you can leave without beating it but i recomend you to. You have to get as much money as posible to but items and win.

18:53 if you keep giving money to the little guy that asking for money, he will give you a free item
