So you got lost. Did you find your way back? Then you had an unplanned adventure. Not a problem, not a mistake. An adventure. And this landscape is insanely cool! An unmarked trail that takes you to the highest point? I'm all about that. I strap on my micro-survival-kit belt bag and go.Now, if it's a multi-day backpacking trip, I remain a little more connected to the trail because, like you, my sense of direction is easily confused. But day hikes? Explore!And take the dogs--if all else fails, they are two organically-powered heat blankets....

I didn't have any water with me so that was a bit of a mistake 😅 But it was still a fun adventure for sure!

Same thing here in Finland. I had some bad luck having my hiking shoes break on me and start leaking and same with my rain jacket lol. This year I'll come better prepared!😅 And with a bigger living situation.

Just like Minnesota, it's 9 months of winter and 3 of poor sledding. Uff Da 🌨️❄️☀️

You definitely need a van! In such weather with 2 big dogs in the small car -that's not funny. In the last 4 months of winter in Finland, I have endured it very well in my van. On days when I could hardly get out, I sat down at the electric piano or picked up my guitar.Music usually always helps me.

I have to say, again, i admire your sense of adventure. When its just you, a bridge, a sense of being small against a backdrop of beauty, the level of self awareness intensifies. I hope you will buy a camper van and increase this level of adventure (wait till you listen to classical music that adds to it)!!

I won't have a camper van anytime soon but I definitely have upgraded my travel setup. Video of that will be out after the Norway series and patrons already have the access to an exclusive tour video ;)

Yeah we just got a bunch of snow during the past few days so it seems it's still not even close to spring yet here :D

beautiful countryside heline. i would love to hike or even ride one of my mountain bikes there. this is just a suggestion. maybe the weather would be more accomodating in the summertime, and safer. i have a friend whom is of norwegian ancestry, and it never gets cold enough for him. this video kind of explains why. LOL. thank you and see you saturday. 🚴

Heline, I'm very impressed by your willingness to adventure out alone with your dogs. I love camping and miss it terribly. I'm glad to see this side of you, also a little sad that I can't join you, I think you would be a great camping buddy.

Heline ! Thank you so much for all of this ! I know, it had to be difficult at times, and I am sorry you had to be there alone with your pups... You have learned a lot more and are very strong to be able to do this.. I am so proud of you and happy that you and your dogs survived it! Oh I'm more than happy to be alone with my dogs out there, nothing to be sorry about that! I was definitely outside my comfort zone but loved being alone and just figuring things on my own!

I'm guessing the doggies didn't go out on the bridge. I've had trouble getting dogs up a flight of stairs if they were "floating" with no solid supports beneath them.

I tied them to a tree a bit further away and asked them to wait as the access to the bridge was incredibly sketchy looking and rocky.

please listen to Marshall Tucker Band 1973- Can't You See... while the flute doesn't have a big part, without the flute part it JUST wouldn't have the deepest sense of a broken heart that can never be healed... one of the greatest live performances... i HAVE to listen to the very end every time... thank you for your videos

Haha yeah. I'm thinking of buying a handheld GPS device. I left it out of the video but I messaged my mom before losing the cell signal so she knew I had the share on Google Maps and if she didn't hear from me in a few hours she knew where to send the search party 😂
