This is Anas happy you are in Jamaica, be sure to use your local sim to google what you are looking for African Tigress , i am watching you walk past everything you are looking for, remember you have travelled the world , most things are generally the same , they just have a different twist on them, e.g if you look on your phone you will see so many things are just close to you, before you ask anyone, stay blessed, it is cheaper to stay closer to all the amenities then venture out in my opinion, but i guess thats how you learn. Enjoy

Sometimes you need to listen to the residence, he told you red plate for taxi so that's what you should have taken. The red plates are legal taxis which are more safer to ride.

It is one of!!! Kingston/ St Andrew is also very beautiful, she has only been to downtown. Ocho Rios is also a beautiful tourist town.

Great video. Harmony beach park is worth a visit. Fairview is one of the largest shopping areas in Jamaica (it’s like new Kingston with shorter buildings). Lots and lots of great restaurants. Coral Cliff, the casino you passed with the waterfall, has great nightly entertainment with a live band. Maybe you could take a cruise on a catamaran to negril rather than driving. So much to do in Mobay🙂

Like that Taxi you took and passed your stop you could have just start a conversation with the other passengers and tell them where you are going also. I thought the guy in Mobay said it cost J$130 to Westgate Mall? He charged you J$200. Be safe.

The Rt. Excellent Samuel Sharpe aka Sam Sharpe/ Daddy Sharpe, a Baptist deacon, was credited as the leader of the 1831 Christmas Rebellion (Baptist War) in the western section of Jamaica; which acted as a catalyst for the passage of the Abolition Bill in 1833. This effectively ended slavery here. He was executed in the Montego Bay Market Place on May 23, 1832, for his role in the 1831-32 Emancipation War. In 1976 Charles Square in Montego Bay was renamed in his honor. Because of his contribution to the abolition of slavery, he was also accorded the honor of a national hero, and a monument was erected to honor him in the square.

Although not the same parish, I'm from near MoBay and so enjoyed the views and sceneries. The taximan to the airport was knowledgeable. The previous one (with whom you travelled up to the hills and back) has me thinking to find him next time I'm in Ja and do that route with him. Was a beautiful ride. Welcome your Bajan friend to Ja. I love the accent. Reminds me of my friend from uni days who I shared most my classes with; he was Bajie too. --Æ.

Hi: The gentleman who told you where to get the taxi told you that the vehicle should have a red plate. I think the ones that have the red plate are registered with the transportation company and the white plate taxis are just private vehicles(it may be a bit risky taking these) but please get more information on this.

Was recently in Barbados and had that experience there too of bus missing our stop and we had to go all way to end of journey - ending up lost in dark. Visitors be careful. Drivers assure you that you must not worry, they will stop, they are so assuring, to get your fare, but then forget or don’t try to ensure you get your stop. But otherwise friendly people abound there. By grace of God. Overall these are happiest places I ever went.

Stay safe. There's a Travel Advisory for Jamaica and The Caribbean. Stat Department issued it months ago.

Make sure you take the Taxis with the "red plate", they are the ones who are licensed and registered to carry passengers. This "white plate" taxi guy is really hustling on the side. Not legitimate. As he said, he lives in the area.
