Reason you probably like High velocity so much is that it has the normal damage dropoff/headshot range.

It feels like the gun to go in with when you want to have fun over wanting to win.

@@aspiringchampion5783 Yah, and i'm sure you have. But objectively there are better loadouts, and i think that is the key point here. Still a fun and useful gun, but others are better. Always nice to have options, after all we play games to have fun, and whatever is fun to you is what you should use.

personally I don't think it's fun to sit in a bush with a silencer hoping to ambush somebody. This also isn't the best gun to win with either, so it's kind of just a boring playstyle with a less than optimal loadout.

Man, I adore the bornheim silencer. It makes you feel like a spy in a western, lovecraftian setting

The fire rate feels so silly fast. I know it’s no different than the normal, but the silencer just feels so much more fun!

This is by far my favourite pistol in the whole game now. I already loved running the Bornheim with the Sparks, but missing out on the possibility of running a silenced Nagant was always bugged me. Now I just get the best of both worlds.

How did this intro perfectly portray my emotions? I practiced with the Vetterli for like 3 days in preparation for the Cyclone, but ended up falling in love with the Berthier Marksman and Bornheim Silencer.

You haven’t seen many of them on the ground because you don’t die if you take this gun

logic left the chat... If you don't die you see them on the killed enemy hunters' bodies, if you do die you don't see your weapons on the ground... Either way, I agree this version of Bornheim is good, good as "nerf incoming" I believe.

I loved using this, without bulletgrubber as my go-to AI killer. Base ammo, headshot grunts and dogs, refill whenever you can. It pairs well with lemat carbine, which is one of the solid all rounder weapons. Bigger compact pool if you run base there too.

Imo, the suppressed bornheim is one of, if not the best secondary for a bolt action loadout. Let's review why: What are the two major downsides? Reload and damage. Reload- What trait are you gonna pick up with a bolt action like the Mosin or the Berthier (my favorite gun to pair this with)? Bullet Grubber! You know what else benefits from Bullet Grubber? The Bornheim! Bam, that's all the perks you need for it done, and wrapped up in an efficient trait placement package. Damage- you're going to be starting most of your fights with your rifle. All the long ammo bolt action rifles (except for the krag, but that also doesn't benefit from Bullet Grubber so its unoptimal) make a person oneshot from the bornheim if you hit them in the upper chest. So quickswapping and spamming your way to victory is easy. Target close enough? Silently take them out with a headshot and drastically bring the odds better in your favor without even revealing your position. Need to clear those bastard hives or maybe a small horde of zombies silently? Bornheims got you covered there too! And all in a small ammo half your reserves refilled from a single ammo box package! But wait, there's more! How could you resist using the new and beautiful Mouthless Melody skin that was released along side it. In my most humble of opinions, this skin equipped with the Tarnished Wing charm is a beautiful combo with the Berthier Moondlower or Pallbearer's Crutch equipped with the Jeweled Scarab. Hunt the bayou in style I say! This has been my Ted talk.

I've found that it's amazing for wall bangs cause people panic from how quiet it is so they don't know where it's coming from immediately.

Always love footage of you using the bornhiem, I try and it usually costs me. My mate then tells me its because that guns so weak but I like it too much, dunno why?! 😂

I am 150% with you, it has become my favorite thing to run. I think it may be making me better at hitting heads too, I feel like I'm doing so well with it

your skills with this gun are wild! I like to play stuff bows/crossbows so as to not go for head clicks. To see your head clicks is staggering :)

Springfield hv/dd + bornheim hv had been my favourite loadout during the event. After you mentioned the reintroduced mussle flash which I was not aware off, I'll actually consider taking the bornheim without hv

It's a really satisfying gun to use, just love it. Btw thanks for the subtitles, its really helpfull for those like me who's english isn't that great.

I've enjoyed it too. And honestly this thing is a bit of a sleeper when it comes to dual wielding, as long as you don't spam too hard it's very reliable

Bornheim suppressed dualies go "puh puh puh puh puh" and it makes the brain slime happy.

Dude it is my favorite too! I always love the feel of a good silenced weapon. We will team up and be Bayou Assassins!

For me, Bulletgrubber is bugged on the Silent Bornheim, at least while dual-wielding with Ambidextrous also equipped. That being said I had a good time using dual S.B. with incendiary ammo.

i would really like them to add a large slot longer range weapon that benefits from bullet grubber. since they made the change to bolt actions so you can top them up after shooting it just hasnt really seamed necessary. and bornhim could use a long range thing to synergize with :)

This gun was the one thing I looked forward to for the event weapons, I figured the Cyclone would be stupid over hyped. Silent Born has bailed me out of a lot of BS so far, it just, clicks magically with me, although the born was already one of my favourite pistols.

I've always loved the Bornheim and this gives me the opportunity to truly play as a ghost. I'll headshot hunters from a cheeky spot while they push and they don't even look my way. The best way to punish players who stand still with hardly any risk of revealing yourself.

The borny incendiary was my favorite to toss in with a lebel before. I’ve enjoyed the silenced one. Trying to decide if I like it more than say a nagant carbine etc

I'm surprised anyone doubted it. From the moment I used it, it was damn excellent. With the reserve ammo buff on it and the sheer utility and ease of killing with it. It's a fantastic sidearm and fairly cheap!

the Bornheim Silencer reconciled me with the Bornheim, I used to just never pick that.... but now sometimes it happens !

How are you pinging and seeing distance? Is that something we can do in game?

I love its, its really really good for PvE, and when used in the right situations, it destroys in PvP, but the damage is definitely an issue.

Love using it, but personally my only issues are that of cost, and that I chew through its ammo pool really fast, which is a me problem.

Iv allways liked the bornheim super easy to use and puts ammo down range but it deffanintly has flaws after i saw it had a silencer variant i was hooked and its probably you tube but i didnt see that person at all in the tunnel good eye

I Really like the Bornheim silencer, Ive actually started to go into games with just that + Incendiary rounds. i then like to steal a downed hunters weapon.

The silencer has made me wish that the Born has dum dum and poison to go with that assassin vibe of it

Only guy I use the bornheim silenced with is hawkshaw cuz his first person feels like hit man for sure, I have that kinda thing with other hunters too like for example I only use nitro with mountain man cuz in my fan made lore he used a nitro to kill the bear on his head haha

at 3:00 you remark that the clue is red but all I can see is the aura of the clue in your dark vision. I was wondering how you know that it is red? Is the aura different when there are hunters close to the clue?

Since I basically never hit headshots I feel this might not be the weapon for me. Also it's just so expensive for what it is.

Haven't used it yet since I just unlocked it and my Challenges said no. Looks fun, though.

My own opinion about the bornheim silenced is that I really do not like its iron sights with the slight bit of sway it makes it hard to aim that easily in darkened spaces considering its so small and the gun is already black.

It just feels super fun to use even though it's not a great gun. But man does it feel good to turn into JAMES BAYOU BOND! 🤠

If you can hear the silent Bornheim then it can kill you in one shot and if you can't then good luck finding it!

I am a little confused by using special ammo since it basically negates half the advantage of a silencer anyway. Also you seem to only be using it as a primary weapon. Is that all it's suited for? How about for those of us who can't headshot? Are there any other silent options?

The lack of muzzle flash is nice, but the reduced sound is DEFINITELY the biggest advantage of a silencer. You can do PvE very quietly, you can blow up barrels without giving your position away, you can maintain a surprising angle on people for longer before they find you and return fire, wallbanging people with a silencer will scare the hell out of them, the list goes on. If you don't like going for headshots, I would recommend either the Nagant Silencer with poison ammo and Fanning, the Crossbow with half normal/half Shotbolt, or the Hand Crossbow with half normal/half poison bolt. All of these give you really strong PvE options that let you very quickly and efficiently clear enemies without drawing attention. The poison Nagant also absolutely shreds bosses, and the poison ammo will put a lot of pressure on players. The Crossbow with Shotbolt is CRAZY for fighting players. It takes some practice to aim the crossbows, but the shotbolt has essentially an infinite 1 shot range on body hits, and while it makes noise, it makes noise where you land the bolt, not your actual position, so it can still keep your position hidden while you are ambushing players. Both the crossbow and hand crossbow are fantastic utility picks and you can use their regular ammo to silently kill enemy AI from a distance and then retrieve your bolts after, making it cost no ammo. Hope this helps :) Edit: Also if you see a flock of birds or ducks and shoot one of the birds with your poison bolt hand crossbow, it will kill the flock quietly, letting get past the birds without risking setting them off. Just another of the many useful applications of this weapon.

This gun is so nasty, I had doubts but it turned out to be a top tier weapon for me.

The skin to the pistol unlocks at 47 in the battlepass. Coincidence? I think not.

I think regular ammo is best because of the rate you go thru it in fights. Special ammo isnt always easy to find.

Ok so I've gotten 5 characters to lv 50 with this load out .. bomb Lance with fire ammo and hand crossbow with fire bolts

I love everything about it, except for the sights. Oh how I hate those sights, they're the WORST.

At this point assault rifles are a very plausible thing.

I've been taking bornheim match with double silenced and it took me from 3 to 4 and sometimes 5 star.

You get it wrong all the time but that's ok
