Ahhhh I'm so happy for you! I distinctly remember a while back that I'd be so disappointed in med schools if they didn't take you.

AH, THANKS STEVEN. Your support means a lot to me!
Congratulations in getting into Yale!! I just discovered your channel, and I'm enjoying the content so far. I also like how you're always wanting to help and are not one of those cocky, competitive students :) You're definitely going to be a great doctor!

Congratulations, Prerak! I don't normally comment on youtube videos but I just had to this time :) I found your channel through your fb post in the Cal Class of 2021 page. I've pretty much watched every single one of your videos since, and I've thoroughly enjoyed them all! I will be attending Cal this fall, planning to go into the pre-med track, so thank you so so much for all the guidance you've given students like me through your channel. I can't wait for all your future videos! (I can already imagine your channel blowing up very soon!)

Amazing job !! you're an inspiration, good luck :D
I think your words make really a lot of sense. I'm from mainland China, a place where failures are shameful and unacceptable (at least in my school, where 10+ students ivy/year). I got straight As in grade 9&10, and I score 112 in my first TOEFL test. But I was getting more and more panic when I noticed my friends were doing even better like getting five+ 5 in AP in the first year. And things gone worse for me by then and I started to get Bs and I just couldn't face it and everything went wrong. I'm kind of getting recovered from this shit, and your video inspires me a lot
I appreciate your vulnerability and your advice! I wish you the best in med school at Yale!

Hi! I stumbled upon your page and so glad I did! Most importantly congrats! I am sure it feels amazing that all of your hard work has paid off. I really appreciate your transparency and honesty, it is a huge relief as a aspiring med student and D1 athlete to have someone like you to help along the way. I have some questions concerning my plan to take a gap year after I graduate from University of Massachusetts- Lowell, let me know if you are able to help!

You seem like a very down to Earth person, congrats
congrats!!
awwwww congrats!
Great video man congrats and what was your gpa and Mcat score ? I just got one C on my transcript :( do you recommend me retaking the course
@PrerakJuthani
7 жыл бұрын
Hi King! Shoot me an email and I can send you my AMCAS! TL;DR though, I don't recommend retaking. Just show tat you can do better by doing MUCH better in your other science classes! Resilience is the name of the game! One class won't mean much in the long run of things!
What was the other school you were considering?
So happy for you!

Thank you! It's truly a great feeling!
Hey! this is amazing. I literally came across this randomly while watching my cousins medical videos. I think you know my cousin Shaman- he's from cal and at yale for medicine :)
Congratulations!
Congrats! I have a question about research and its importance for med school apps. I have clinical experience but no research experience. Do you think that will be disadvantage when applying to some of the schools you applied to or the other top 20 med schools?
@PrerakJuthani
7 жыл бұрын
hmm that is debatable. You should definitely try to add in some research experience, but if you're not into it, and are more into clinical, that's fine. Everyone's different and there is no "perfect/necessary" activity everyone should do!
Congrats again on Yale! Just out of curiosity, if cal northstate was the only school you got into, would you attend or reapply?
@PrerakJuthani
7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That is a great question; I think the answer would ultimately depend on how much it would financially strain me and what I wanted to do down the line :/ Sorry I can't give a perfect answer!

Prerak Juthani Dude how much is that school going to cost you?
Watching this after your match video 🙂
What other med schools did you get into?
I live in Hamden, CT!
congrats boyo
well hi I am basically in high school right now in India and I should get my bachelor's degree in here itself but for MD I want HMS or CWRU so how do I do that according to you and by the way Congrats for you got selected in Yale university!
Ohmy gosh no way!!! I'm so close to new haven and I am an inspiring med student!!!

Congrats! How old are you brah? I'm 26 and won't be applying until next year... if I even get in I'll basically be 29 when I start :(
@PrerakJuthani

I'm actually turning 23! However, don't let age discourage you. The people who are most successful applicants tend to be older. I think it's because they take the time to realize WHY they truly want to do medicine, and thus, their motivation is much stronger! :)

I did a double major with Public Health and Molecular Biology!
First of all CONGRATULATIONS 🍾 But hey can you please help me out ive to make a choice between engineering and medicine i kinda like both but i like medicine a little more.However im quite hesitant i have two main reasons 1. Im a female and if i do medicine i will graduate at 26 and 2 years internship so that i can be a registered Gp...i eventually want to settle down and have a family...is that possible?? 2.Theres no prospect for doctors here in my country...the medical sector is saturated no jobs at all i will have to do something on my own..and 26 its pretty late to start some kind of business related to the medical field Idk like what advice do u have for me

Great job! That's probably the most attractive school to me (not that I could get in). P/F, I think the tests are like anonymous or something. Great student environment. It seems fantastic! Congratulations!

It's GREAT! Pretty much no tests, and the individuals are SO committed to learning for the sake of learning. I think it fits my style well. I'm sure you could :) Let me know if you have more questions about it!
How did your interview at Harvard go? Did you get an offer, but still decided to go to Yale or were you rejected? I'd very much like to know, because I want go to Harvard and I'm wondering if they accepted a great student like you or if they aim for someone better (even though that to me you pretty much seem to be the greatest student ever :p)
Wtf?? Why would most of the schools he applied to reject him? Literally an amazing applicant
