For a game released in 2004 you would think there wouldn't be any point in cheating, then again, the internet has a stalwart reputation for proving we're always wrong somehow doesn't it?

Why would someone even cheat in an rts like that? It's super obvious that you won and it just makes the cheater look childish, atleast most cheaters try to make themselves look cooler than they actually are.

That is interesting. It actually must be a very simple engine, which is a shame. Not much you can do since the game isn't in active development really. I don't think mod teams would have the assets or ability to legally get anti cheat software added to a mod.
