The thing I noticed about Twitter is people on there will (intentionally or otherwise, I'm not sure) misinterpret your tweet to get mad at you. It's happened to me a lot with tweets that were fairly straight-forward and with little to no ambiguity in them. Twitter is just a special beast full of angry, angry people who want to be mad at something so they'll often twist your words to justify that.
