To be totally honest, from what we can hear, they dont say much just like "dont talk to me like that!" "Why do you speak like that" "get out of your car!" "you got a problem?" and they speak a bit in arabic too (which, as a French girl, i dont understand ^^) but yeah, looks like it was a big argument they had, and one of the guy outside was up to fight him, really fight him :/ I'm kinda sad you had to witness stuff like that in our country, but i'm glad you still love France after all

@@lilithium1005 I don't know about the rest of France, but the first time I went to Paris, I was staying in 9th arrondissement, and it was like this all the time. Even centrally, there was harassment and fighting and generally people being rude and unpleasant. This was 2017/18 Last time I went, I stayed very central and had an amazing experience. There are people who suck in every country, so it's not specific to France, however I did find that there are some especially unpleasant, agressive sort of men in Paris that I had not previously encountered.

Thank you, Blair, for sharing your negative experience and your words of encouragement. It has happened to me and it feels awful. Ruined my day. Having it happen in a different country with a different language; just horrible. EDIT: The whole Uggs experience reminded me of teenagers in high school. How pathetic for grown adults to be behaving in that way. In hindsight, their behaviour is far more laughable than your footwear.

this is going to sound weird, and i mean it entirely as a compliment, but I find these (slightly chaotic) videos so cathartic to watch. I am so different (intense need for control, organisation, justifying my expenses, etc) and watching you live your life is such a release LOLL it inspires me to let go, romanticise my life, and embrace the things that don’t go as planned ❤ you have a great attitude Blair xxx

When I was in Paris with my boyfriend’s family, we sat down to a small random restaurant for dinner. The host/waiter sat us (5 people) at a long table 2 centimeters from the wall with chairs on ONE side, the wall side. Anyway, the menu was literally just fish and potatoes, and we had just come from London, so we decided to leave, his parents & sister leaving first as I waited for my boyfriend, who was in the restroom. Once I was alone, the waiter/host proceeded to SCREAM at me in a silent restaurant “this is a very good table!” and “this is Paris!” and “you know nothing!” I didn’t yell back, but I did laugh at him for his little outburst. To make a long story short: I had multiple experiences in Paris that were less than enjoyable. Yes, I am American, but my boyfriends family has EU citizenship as well as American citizenship. Europe is not new to us, and Paris will always be better in concept.

Your UGG slippers are considered indoor gear, and they probably thought you’d forgotten to change to outdoor shoes before you left home. These aren’t even considered as shoes at all. Still no excuse for pointing and laughing though… ! Edit: grammar

@@BraidedLady There’s a differende between Ugg shoes that cover your foot, and Ugg slippers that are … slippers. Just because people wear them outside all the time doesn’t make them outside gear. Especially here in Europe I’d say that in general people only wear these kind of warm fuzzy slippers inside.

I think the message to your fans was nice, that they shouldn't feel bad if they sometimes get laughed at or realize they dont fit into their environment social standards. It happens, you get over it. To be brutally honest, your whole outfit was laughable by French standards, yes. American and French culture are different. The black coat with touches of fur, low uggs, blonde extension and full set of eyelashes in the daytime would indeed to a French person give off "vulgar American vibe". It's not a look French people consider elegant nor desirable. You live in Miami, social norms are different and you're judged by different standards there. If I were to wear a red beret and go about eating escargot there, I would probably get a few pointed look as well. Just goes to show that be it on the world wide scale, or in your daily life, you should just do you. Because there will always be people to judge you on a different scale than you think you are on.

There's NO excuse for such behavior. It shows a total lack of class on their part disguised as snobbery. If you are working as a shopgirl or security guard you really need to get over yourself. To me it's petty jealousy and totally uncouth.

Could they have been making fun of the uggs because they thought they were house shoes? I’ve been told by a few European friends that Ugg’s are seen as house shoes because in the winter they don’t really protect you against things like snow and wet sludge. Not saying it was right for them to make fun of you for them but maybe that was the reason.

Hey Blair, it seems like a traffic argument. The Uber driver told the guy to go away in Arabic after he said "you're crazy". The guy outside says "don't tell me to go away, don't call me crazy, respect me" to the uber driver. Both the dudes then confront the driver and say:"why do you talk like that, you're talking bad" and close the door. I didn't hear the driver say anything that would spark those reactions and it's super disrespectful to close the door like that knowing there are people inside who didn't ask for anything. Seems like the guys wanted to cause a scene for attention.

Cool video I enjoyed it. Yeah wearing slippers is only a thing for when you are at home in Europe. It's very weird to us to see someone wearing slippers outside or pajamas which is fairly common in the USA, but laughing at your face is super inappropriate. It's possible that they thought you were trolling by showing up in slippers and holding a camera recording but regardless, the Parisians do have a name for being judgemental. Don't be intimidated by that ... in some countries in Europe wearing socks with sandals is a thing and that to most of us is hella weird too.

This is my favorite video I've seen of yours only because you showed how you were treated and you can tell you felt a tad uncomfortable with the culture. Instead of just playing it off as funny.

The more I hear about people’s experience in France, the less appealing it is. The image of them being incredibly stuck up and snobbish was clearly earned. I want to hear good stories of French people but they’re so few and far between.

Came to Paris after a Tour de France event, brainfart on my part. So think everyone were just a bit extra grumpy from tourism, but never really had tried the "you're the bane of my existence for simply existing" feeling before lmao One mild story was that the areas public toilets were CLOGGED with trash, so ran to a nearby bar. He glared at me while for a solid 2 minutes, considering if he should just tell me to bugger off but luckily he allowed it with a dragged out sigh and a little eye roll 😂

I went to the Gucci store in Paris with my friends one summer wearing a typical California outfit of short shorts and thongs and they literally followed us all the way out. They kept asking us if we needed help and we just said just looking until we noticed we were at the door. I guess a “polite way” of kicking us out. 😂🤣

Travelling in European countries (yes I’m from one myself) I have definitely had my share of taxi situations … this clip looks‘staged’ somehow. Like your driver was expecting this to happen. Why? No idea. Generally, to frighten tourists/foreigners into paying extra money for‘protection’ or some other stupid crap; the idea is to take advantage of your situation.
