Confidence and surprising yourself are not mutually exclusive. It’s not a bad quote to believe to yourself but generally most people in the world don’t know what they’re doing and so showing this lack of general confidence is not usually beneficial because people like to believe that others have it figured out. There is no playbook to life and this deep insecurity leads to many seeking out people who appear to have “figured it out”. It is a very thought provoking notion though

3 unsolicted tips from someone who's done some living out of a vehicle as a choice (rather than a necessity): 1) keep busy - it's easy to get bored out there which is a huge mood killer and can make you depressed, lonely and frustrated that you're wasting your time that's supposed to be this big fulfilling experience. It's useful to make sure you have a full and planned day every day. 2) socialise at every opportunity - it's also easy to get lonely out there. I'm pretty happy with my own company but even then I got lonely a lot. Take any opportunity to socialise, even if you're not feeling it at the time, and savour any small interactions you have with strangers. 3) having something to do once it gets dark is vital. Everything becomes more overwhelming at night because you're tired and the dark makes you feel more isolated. Having plenty of entertainment is great for keeping your nights and evenings cosy. It also prevents you from dreading the night which can hang over you all day. I hope you have a great time zooming around in your van dude, you have a sweet setup! Looking forward to your future projects :)

Excellent advice, and I just want to point out that it's also very applicable if you're living alone and not in a van. :) I enjoy my own company but can't currently work due to the pandemic. It's definitely important to keep busy and keep up some real social interaction (not just via social media or chat) or your mood can get very dark very quickly.

Then in second minute he thanked his viewers. Ok so now I'm sure it's a Vlog. But I laughed through the whole thing, it must have been a skit anyways since the joel haver skit humour was there all the way.

Get any job I can… now I’m disillusioned & no longer sure of my dreams. Find a girl and give her the world… now my hearts hardened and what confidence I had is shattered). But this video, what ur doing, it’s something truly important for people to see. It’s stirring the embers again. So thank you Joel, for being strong enough to be honest. Both to urself, and to the world. For those of us who are still working on it.

Still made me laugh as much as your sketches but with such a real heartwarming element. It makes the viewer feel like a true part of your life. It felt like a full length documentary even at 14 minutes. Not in the sense of like “oh god that felt like forever” but the range of emotion and perspective that builds from the beginning to the end is vast and I don’t know if that’s an easy thing to do even with a full length documentary.
