Hi, Leigh ... Your little ET cat is beautiful beyond description. I've only ever seen Sphinxes at cat shows, and fell in love with them. This little guy ... well, big guy by now, I suppose ... will be absolutely bursting with brains and will need a lot of company and creative play. I have had Siamese all my life, and there are similarities between them and the Sphinx in terms of intelligence. But your little cat is delightful and may he bring you joy. Please keep us posted.

Looks like my Deus. They’re wonderful little gargoyles, Sphynxes. Mine’s black with green eyes and he’s goofy, wild, snuggly and loves kisses and laser chasing toys

I think these cats are life savers. I was very suicidal from domestic violence (safe and away now) but knowing that the kitten was coming in a few weeks saved my life. Since ive had my sphynx (the first few days were really rough) my mental health has improved because all of my thoughts have been about how cute the cat is. Respecting him and giving him very good care has helped my mind too. I think they are gifts from god and I know why Egyptians worshiped them

I had a very similar experience with my little sphinx Alisa, I rescued her from an abusing household and ever since she is my reason to keep going and I have never experienced such true love from an animal, they are so giving and can change lives. I struggle with borderline personality disorder I am so grateful for having her in my life truly.

Oh my god! I had a cat who kept me going and I have similar mental health problems. I try to surround myself with good people (and I do), but sometimes feel like I don't deserve their kindness or that they can't be being serious when they pay me a compliment! Yet I know the advice I would give a friend in this position is not what I have the habit of telling myself!

I love how suicidal depressed people always laugh about it. Like "Yeah, I'm suicidal as fuck. I want to die and I'm so unhappy with life LOLOLOL!!!!!"

@Confi Dential I don't think it's attention seeking, mate. Simply expressing how unhappy you are has a "problem shared is a problem halved" kind of thing. It's like when you'd go downstairs and tell you're mum that you're bored or unhappy, as a kid.... And your mum couldn't really do anything about it, but telling her helped. I'm assuming you're still pretty young yourself though?

I want one so bad. But until I get a house that heats better I won't.

I know this video is old but I think your goal should be that your cats should be happy and feel loved just like they love you!🩷

I'm in Ohio and I'm getting one in a few weeks ! I literally said she's going to be my emotional support cat because I also struggle with anxiety and depression. What is it like when you take her on walks ? Do you need a harness ? Does she try to run away?

I’m so excited for you! Mine is the best thing to ever happen to me. If you want them to go on walks I suggest taking them outside as early as they can and yes you need a harness and leash, mine likes to run! But at the end of the day, some like to go on walks and some don’t. Rowan loves to be outside but she doesn’t walk much.

pxnksie I still feed her what the previous owner fed her which is royal canine but I would highly recommend a more quality and organic diet like nulo or wellness! There’s also those brands who send fresh food each week which is great but can be quite pricey. I’m planning on switching her in a couple months because I tried to and she got sick so I stopped!

pxnksie I put a deposit down in December and since I said I didn’t want any specific type or gender , i was able to get one in January but the timing wasn’t right so I got my kitty in august! You could get one way sooner I just waited :)
