Glad you found a swap, the 5 speeds are a night and day difference. Hopefully someone else can do something fun with that shell! As far as I know less than 60,000 5th gens came to the US in total so it'd be a shame for it to get scrapped if it isn't rusted through. Let us know how you like the H23 when it's all put together with the new trans. I think the h22a4 in my Prelude finally had the FRM cylinder walls eat the piston rings after 192,000 miles so I've been considering my options. Not sure if I can get away with a swap in my state with the lame emissions laws though. Keep up the good work and best of luck on all your projects, the Z31 looks especially cool!

The shell has no title. That's why I got it soo cheap. If anyone wants it when I'm done it's free! That's some good info! Can't wait to see how the 5speed feels! Thank you!

@@importmodify Oh yeah in that case grab all them good parts brother, a lot of them are discontinued/out of stock 🤟! I'll leave some miscellaneous info/common issues here, perhaps it'll be helpful for you or a viewer: check up on your tail light gaskets, they're notorious for leaking and causing water to pool in the trunk and it'll soak the back seats. If you have an automatic timing belt tensioner, the early ones on the h22a4 are prone to fail and some people are leery of the revised ones too (I don't know the tensioner setup on H23). Be gentle on your interior door handles, I've heard of them snapping. If you ever develop a rough or bouncing idle, cleaning the IACV is a good place to start.
