I was afraid you were gonna call me out on the FUT comment 😅 Not sure where I heard that. But to answer a couple of your questions: -The topical treatment i was using before was minoxidil -The 26 was for the estimated 2,600 total grafts. I talked them down.. -The lower line drawn was their suggestion. I made them raise it to my actual hairline (the upper line) -They did 50 grafts on each of my temples. Not sure why. Why just to add texture? Thanks for the video! I learned a thing or 2 :)

The photo at 0:57 is from IRAN, not Turkey. The name of the man who took the photo is Reza Baeedi, which is not a Turkish name. I'm Turkish and I got surprised by the clinic room in the photo. Firstly, our plastic surgery/hair transplant clinics don't have 10 people shoved in a room getting hair transplants. Secondly, all the women wearing headscarves in the photo also points to it being from Iran. Low cost in Turkey doesn't mean it's bad quality. Our currency is losing value against the euro and dollar which is why it is cheap for foreigners. It's still quality care. Just like how there are some bad plastic surgeons in America and Europe, the same with Turkey. It's important to do research obviously before getting hair transplant or plastic surgery. I hope you do more reactions on plastic surgery in Turkey, this was very interesting!

@@drgarylinkov great but it doesn't help when the topic is on Turkey and there are already lots of misinformation about the country. And because turkey is a secular country with controversial views on religion, such depiction would cause Turkish people to be extremely offended by the visual. @@drgarylinkov Where he specifically said Turkey before hand. Doubling down on ignorance and spreading misinformation - specifically talking about Turkey and throwing up an image of Iran is misleading. Trying to claim otherwise that it was just a 'visual representation' rather than a clear mistake of a lazy editor using the first image they found is a poor representation of what type of clinic I would assume Dr. Linkov runs.

Doctors in Turkey do whatever they want. They do not perform aesthetic surgery based on need. I say this as a girl who had rhinoplasty. I wanted a slightly natural aesthetic. When I woke up, half of my nose was gone. After the surgery, I was insecure for my nose, I was never before.

Living in Istanbul, I can definitely confirm that this is a HUGE business. The value of your dollar/euro is higher than ever before making overall costs and labor extremely cheap as well. Foreigners love the personal pick up, in a ‘fancy’ van, the driver, being brought to a nice hotel, the attentiveness of many staff, the extra gimmicks (all very cheap thanks to your valuable €$£) etc. I don’t know anything more than that but I’d be searching the heck out of the clinic I’d eventually be choosing and listen to your gut, not the ‘don’t worry, everything will be great’ talk you’ll often get. There are indeed many success stories, which is great. (And beware of things like ‘Turkey Teeth’ if you are considering getting dental work done as well) Also; Istanbul is expecting huge earthquakes, make sure your hotel and clinic safe new buildings (preferably built within the last 5-8 years). 60% of buildings in the city are considered unsafe 🥲

I've heard good things about him as a doctor. I think it was on reddit. Someone asked if they'd had any experience with him and various people actually said that they were very pleased with him. They all agreed he is an approachable, understanding guy with good bedside manner and that he was present in the clinic (you'd think docs who have this kind of presence online sometimes tend to become more of a celebrity and maybe delegate actual work on workers, but it wasn't the case with him). Pretty cool to hear, tbh. He seems like a very decent guy.

You can tell this guy was not prepared at all, nor was he educated enough to get surgery. He shouldn't have gone for the low hairline as it will absolutely screw him over later in life. Also, I didn't think his hair loss was that bad in the first place. I don't think he would have needed surgery at all. But definitely at most should have done just 1000 grafts in the corners. If the surgeons are not going to have a conservative approach then I would be skeptical on the quality of the actual transplant as well.

Hi Dr - thanks for sharing valuable information over the channel and website. One quick question - I didn't do a good job in cleaning my scabs which was identified in my 3 month follow up with the doctor. I observed canal-like things over my scalp. After that, I cleaned my scabs where I saw a lot of hair coming out. Doctor did say that those hair were supposed to fall out but were glued to skin. I am curious how that will affect my transplant results. Did my untimely clean up of scabs would have damaged my roots, or will it delay my results, if yes by how much? I heard from somewhere that if you don't clean scabs, then it can cause inflammation and can decrease survivability. Is it true? I am at 5 months now but don't see a good density yet. Please share your honest thoughts. Thanks

I’m not a doctor but I know it’s common for the implanted hair to fall out and grow back. It’s called “shock loss”. But because the root is secure way before a month, I think you’ll be fine. Also, I read you should give yourself atleast 8 months to a year to see true density results. Now that you know to clean better, just keep up your good regimen 👍🏽
