My first ever home computer? I still have great memories of its awesome keyboard. My favourite games were "Chuckie Egg". "Cuthbert in the Jungle" and "Time Bandit". Great days...

Cool thing about the Dragon is that it's compatible with software for the Tandy CoCo.

My second computer after the ZX81. Richer kids at school had the BBC Micro. Got my Dragon with 2 joysticks and the Defense Game. Bought a voice synth cartridge for it at some point. I loved it but it was also disappointing due to the lack of colours and resolution (the BBC kids laughed at it) but it helped with my O level computing. Cousin had the Spectrum. Happy days.

Again, excellent haul, your friend really hooked you up! It looks great and plays great, too. I would want to rig some sort of joystick for it, as well as the cables you mentioned. Love how you lined over to the phone and made it play the .wav programs.

***** Well, like Stigsworld said, it's not the same without you, Marcus, and you really ARE missed, but happiness is all and I'd rather you be content than stressed-out by internet idiots. Good to know you're still in the scene, though, and while I've got you I've got a couple of questions: 1) Do you still have your awesome arcade cab? (I was always jealous of that!) 2) Did you ever complete your UK Megadrive collection?

Another tip - the polystyrene can be cut in half and then slotted over the top of the Dragon and then put your portable tv on top of that. Hey presto....you've got an IBM :)

The Dragon was my first home computer, which I received for Christmas back in December 1983. I bought another one on e-Bay about 12 years ago and although it hasn't been used since, it worked at the time. Out of interest, what set up in terms of screen and connection worked best for you?

Great looking unit, Chuckie Egg is an excellent game to demo the system too. These are pretty much a Tandy Coco clone, don't think many made it down here, as we had the Coco's.

I'm really happy with it. Yeah Chuckie egg is addictive as hell, great fun. Yeah I knew that they are basically a Coco although I had never heard of the coco back in the day,

Isn't it odd how every Dragon 32 had a crease in the name sticker to the right? Mine did and every one I've ever seen has it too....and here it is again in this video.

My congratulations, Although it was a long time ago, I will see if you have new updates on your channel. Please find another box to keep the box, so I have it, I managed to buy one of the latest Dragon TANO from California Digital, and I am very happy, completely new, it even smelled like new incrible, of course it came wrapped in another box. Reinforce the original box a little.

I had one of these and thought it was ace. I got top score ever in one of the games and my name was printed in Dragon User. No idea what game is was but it was a pac-man-esque maze game. Then one day i saw "Way Of The Exploding Fist" on the Spectrum and that was that. Paper round money saved + Dragon sold = Spectrum 48k and Way Of The Exploding Fist swiftly followed by Bruce Lee.

Wow, I used to have one of these, unlike you I really loved mine when I had it when I was young. I had the flight sim that you talk about that wouldn't load for you, and it was pretty dam fun actually, the interesting thing was I had two analogue stick (up and down only) controllers to go with the game, I think you needed them to play it though I don't know.

I found one in a junk shop a few weeks ago, it was just computer unit and I paid £1 for it. I have no power unit so I can't test it.

hello how do i find the start end and exec values of a game - machine code game???? there was a program for the dragon in 2001 which listed these values but i cant remember the name of it - does any 1 know it at all???? thanks

I think you Dragon loads games at a higher speed but if you could get a new set of ROMS which would allow you to output and saves as SPDIF signals and input SPDIF signals to facilitate saving and loading from a digital cassette deck possibly a MARANTZ DCC900 and using DCC90 tapes, just a suggestion.
