I don’t know why but I always return to this video at least once a year for some reason. For some reason it’s burned into my head. Every time I hear the words ‘invalid’ or ‘Coquitlam’ my mind always comes to this video

You guys gave confidential information to this guy. You can't just go "yes," cos that guy could be a criminal trying to get information you have to either say "full address," or "doesn't match." To complete the game you have to imagine this guy is a criminal trying to get information out of you to go and find 'Billy J Swarth'.
Ugh! I wouldn't be able to handle customer service. I would end up hunting someone down. XD

I remember watching this when it came out and always coming back to it every year or so. The nostalgia is hitting hard.
7 years later, still great
Breaking confidentiality is not about saying "close enough" - it's about revealing information when the person's identity has yet to be confirmed i.e. When he asked about whether the address was in Birch Street and you answering yes. Ugh.

Billy says "11122233" The monitor reads "1112233" And, the monitor also reads "PL" (or place) when Billy says "Street".
@sokolgaming7597
9 жыл бұрын
The monitor and Billy are different however the PL and ST are different. The game has a few small things like this but if you've ever watched or played the game then you figure out where they are farely quickly.
Just casually watching all the old yogs content on quarantine
So, Lewis dresses up as a lady, pretends to be Hannah, speaks i a ladies voice, and thinks a lot about cucumbers............... Well, yep.
I love how Nilesy does this perfectly and properly makes it look easy, then you guys come in and just make a complete mess out of things. This was hilarious! Especially when Simon just storms out. XD
the millionth time watching this, i only just realised lewis and simon never figured out that they got in trouble because they kept saying yes to the address thing when you're not supposed to disclose that information outright they should have said "for security reasons" right away, they only did so because simon pointed out it was birch place, not because he knew not to just say yes to it
I recently quit my Call Center job because it started becoming more and more like this... Half way through the job I got "upgraded" to a harder job, which technically involved specialist database work also (I was fine with that, I'm a game dev and I know my shit!), the thing is, more work, same wage... Over time you end up on performance plan, which pisses you off more and more because it means more meetings with superiors, this would work fine and aid your performance, if you still wanted to get any better... but because the plan gets more and more tense, it makes you less willing to care.... For me this meant that I was getting loads of shitty meetings with superiors, I didn't care to increase performance at all so no chance of getting off it, and the statistics were completely random, nothing consistent... End result I quit or get fired... I was there for 9 months.

Dawnstar That's the idea, employees are just parts of a machine we call a business, when the machine seems to perform badly, the user assumes the parts are faulty even though sometimes, it's actually the user where the problem lies!
Funniest moment was when Simon quit at the end. Seriously, the person they were interviewing must have been a complete idiot. I actually feel sorry for the guy this game was based on.

Lewis's mind CUCUMBERSCUCUMBERSCUCUMBERSCUCUMBERS
Oh my GOD! A classic! I totally forgot about this!
Bring out the dwarves rage Simon
note to self: never get mad at the people asking the security questions...poor bastards
it's baffling to me why people are complaining about them talking a lot, since that is their job, and the YogPod is one of their most popular platforms. Would you really want to just watch someone just playing THIS game without commentary? It's not even close to being artistically attractive or polished...

The reason it break confidentiality is you basically let that person interrogate you on the sly. It could be just a random person who is wanting to find out the address of the person you're looking up to stalk them or something awful. You can't give out any information even if they're asking for confirmation.
Lewis' laugh is awesome.

As some one who has worked at a call center, that was pretty much it... lol, and Simons reaction was mine after about a year!
This game is pretty accurate. Even inbound call centers (where you aren't trying to sell anything) are soul-sucking. People can be so resentful and management only cares about numbers like how long you spent on the call.
