Technically, if you want to talk about who appeared first Vegito's manga chapter released January 24th, 1995 Gogeta's movie released March 4th, 1995. So for the general public, Vegito did indeed come first, even if Gogeta was designed for the movie before Vegito was for the manga.

Chronologically, it’s Piccolo and Nail. In universe, it’s Elder Kai and the witch. It kind of reminds me of the “which is the first Pokemon” question between Rhydon, Mew, Arceus, and Bulbasaur.

13 right for me. I’m proud that I got some of the really obscure ones like Gogeta’s release before Vegito’s based on the Fusion Reborn being scripted first. Thanks to Dragon Ball Dissection for that.

the "what if" question would be better phrased as "which of these was first" the first itself can be tricky to measure. super gokuden 2 had what ifs but was only released in japan (With a fansub of it). 1 might also have what if stories.
