Ryan Trahan is currently traveling across the US with the singular goal of delivering a penny to MrBeast. Of course, in classic Ryan fashion, he is only allowing him to travel with funds he's profited from a single penny he started with in Los Angeles. He's about halfway through the biggest challenge in KZread history, raising money for Feeding America along the way. The highest possible perk for raising money was the opportunity to pick a tattoo for Ryan to get on his body... if you donated $100,000. So... I did. I don't want to be selfish and have all the fun myself though, so I came up with 4 tattoo ideas and YOU get to decide which one will be placed on his body forever. Outside of talking about Ryan Trahan's One Penny Challenge, I also looked at a handful of his other videos to see just how well he's taking care of his body. Please, Ryan, eat your veggies!

You can have negative decibels if the sound recorded is less than the reference sound. The reference sound in this instance would be the lower limit of average human hearing. This means that the sound recorded in the room is below what an average person or possibly any person can detect.

I make a 3D characteristic on my night- and stress meds so I can feel and recognize what I’m searching for. With a glue-gun. If the heat for the hot glue would interfere with a tube of a certain cream or something than there is this 3D craft glue, both are a great option. For visual recognition on my 3 different unique medical recipe creams that are all in the same type of tube, same look, colors and label with the only difference the small letters on those tubes, well, I use a color code on those. Alcohol markers are there in a bunch of colors and then I place a bit of (scotch) tape over the lid to hold the color there

The part where you're talking about heat stroke all I could think about was one of the time where I dealt with it, obviously my parents rushed me to the hospital (yes I was a child) I was always naturally warm but it got worse when we moved to Las Vegas Nevada; as in the middle of the desert! Yay... and the nurse there was horrible! she popped my veins twice! trying to do something with a needle or whatever.. My mom and dad nearly killed her! I'm pretty sure my sister was crying; I was crying! and my brother was in the corner doing something?.. but afterwards everything was fine! sort of; I always had to be in ventilated areas; and I always had to have something to cool me down! I still deal with getting warm very quickly- obviously but at least it's a little better! especially since we moved again to a colder place. ( by the way where I used to live was Hawaii, Maui. so I was not used to the extreme heat! )
Dr. Mike never disappoints, I'm always looking forward to his Wednesday and Sunday videos; very wholesome study breaks.💖

FUN FACT related to the lactose intolerance part. I was full-on allergic to dairy products, if I even licked a product that had TRACES of milk protein, my lips would itch, my face would get swollen, and in the worst case (happened twice), I had to go to the hospital due to difficulties breathing and extreme swollenness in the face and neck. At 10 years old, my doctor recommended a "procedure" that was only being tested back then. I basically went to the hospital, drank 1mL of milk, then waited there to see results. If I had any reaction, the following week would repeat the same amount, if not, then it moved to 2mL, then 5, then 10, etc etc. (don't remember the exact amounts). After a year and a half (there were pauses) I could drink an entire glass of milk without having any issues. Then for 3 more years I had to carry antihistamines and cortisone in my bag wherever I went, just in case. for that amount of time, every once in a while, I had allergic reactions to milk products, like ice cream, cheese, yogurt, etc. It's been almost 10 years since then, and I'm regularly drinking milk (with coffee or cocoa, I don't like milk alone), eating cheese, ice cream, yogurt, and every type of dairy product out there. I no longer have to read every single label of every single product to check if it had traces of proteins and stuff like that. Wanted to share this life story just because I want people to know one thing: Listen to your doctors, even if it doesn't seem like it, they ALWAYS try their best for you to live the best life you can. That doctor I had back then was the best I could've imagined, she basically changed my life forever, and for the better. I will forever be grateful to healthcare in my city and country. They may be slow and tedious, but they're there to help, and they really want to. Thanks for coming to my TED talk

Wait, lactose intolerance then you say allergy to a milk protein? So which one is it? Milk allergy or lactose intolerance, they’re different things since lactose intolerance is when there isn’t enough lactase enzymes to break down lactose, but allergy’s are when your body stresses when it detects a specific protein in a bad way, either way it’s a cool thing to know about

Actually a lot of people confuse true intolerances with food hypersensitivity or even just irritable bowel syndrome etc. The difference is that hypersensitivities are more unspecific and might be caused by a combination of microbiome, stress, irritants in the food etc. and (while hard to treat causatively because of its multifactorial mechanism) don’t consistently cause problems. True intolerances on the other hand (while also being a somewhat heterogenous group depending on which specialist you listen to) most commonly have some major determining causative mechanism accompanied by very severe symptoms when ingesting the causative agents. For lactose intolerance, it’s the actually physiological (!) decrease in lactase production (a gene that breaks down lactose for absorption through the enterocytes the enzyme is bound to) based on epigenetic modulation of the encoding gene which normally isn’t reversible. For gluten intolerance (or celiac disease) there’s a mix of immune and autoimmune reactions triggered by the major gluten proteins as well as some gluten digesting proteins secreted by the intestines which also normally isn’t reversible. You might actually have self-diagnosed a hypersensitivity syndrome wrongly as true intolerance which could be the reason why the symptoms seemed to change. Additionally, for maldigestive syndromes (e.g. sensitivity to lactose) a big symptom driver is the fact that anything osmotically active in the intestine that cannot be absorbed A) draws moisture out (meaning diarrhea) and B) can be further digested by intestinal bacteria to some nasty end products. So a change in microbiome could actually also have an effect here (modulating both the immune system and the breakdown of malabsorbed food). Tl;dr: There’s an oftentimes missed difference between “mere” hypersensitivity and true intolerance (the latter being consistently more severe). The microbiome and a lot of other common health factors (diet, physical activity etc.) may influence both types (but maybe more noticeably the former) positively.
Mike, you know sooo much, and all of the things you tell us are so interesting. You spend so much time at your job as a doctor, and then you spend so much time making these uber interesting videos. Thank you for entertaining all of us. Somehow you know all of this, and you are just amazing. I don't know how you know this stuff, just wow. You are also amazing for donating so much money for people in need. I used to be in need also, and people were so helpful. Thanks for the entertainment Mike!

you get over the VR dizziness pretty quickly, at least, most people do. I have pretty bad motion sickness usually in vehicles so it took me a little longer, about a week of an hour a day training (starting from like 10 mins and working up to at least an hour a day) and now i never get dizzy in VR
So cool to hear here is using the Oura Ring. Def gunna buy it now those results are nuts
This is crazy, I can’t imagine how many people got saved by Ryan, and Doctor Mike alone! Ty Dr.Mike

Fun fact about the eye adjusting to the dark, pirates wore eye patches so when the walked below deck they already adjusted to the dark. They would switch the eye patch over to the other eye while below and then that eye would be used the next time.

3:57: That's nightmare fuel for me as I can't stand quiet period & I had a therapist that kept asking me 'what's below that? What's that really about?' For it's legit unrealistic how much I LOATHE/DETEST/HATE quiet.
In honor of the penny challenge, an outline of the continental US with lines connecting the cities he was in with the outline of a stethoscope behind it would be pretty cool. It would be awesome to give him something to remember his journey and his accomplishment while still being good to represent you. It’s like a win win.

I love ur sarcasm and like the way ur like “dude, r u serious”😂😊
this was all so awesome :D
You're so generous!! This is gunna help so many people
What two amazing guys! Thank you so much for all you do. The world needs more people like you. And in honor of this video, I will eat a veggie today.
I used to sleep eat too! It was kinda crazy cause sometimes I'd remember but sometimes I didn't. I think it happened more often when I was stressed out about working a lot and some of my interpersonal relationships, which I've made worse from sleep eating lol id sleep eat my roommates food, but buy the food when they told me that it was gone, out of guilt and not realizing. My roommate, whom was my brother, also slept talk, but not me. Super weird and funny cause we lived with his gf and she'd tell us both the different sleep habits we did 😂
I have Ben watching your videos for 3days and I LOVE THEM I will watch more in the future😀😀😀
We should have him get a tattoo that says CHEST COMPRESSIONS CHEST COMPRESSIONS CHEST COMPRESSIONS
first of all, that’s incredible that you were so generous to donate that much money

I have not been injured sleepwalking, but when I was younger I would sleepwalk. And I would not remember a single thing. There were a few times, however, where I was half-asleep and half-awake, but not quite sleepwalking.
You are literally amazing your just so kind to people no matter what as seen in your old videos and now your just the best keep it up :)
My teen daughter and I watch Ryan and his newest adventure. When your donation popped up on his video, it certainly put a smile on my face. Good job!
