I didn’t get any cool spawns but I do appreciate that they updated the local raids so you can see if people are in the lobby from outside the distance of the local raid so you know if it’s worth walking there or not

Ya I live in boston so I go to the common for all the events and things tend to fill up. Still lost 6mons with a full lobby of 20 people so idk what the minimum number of trainers it would actually take

A moltres appeared on a pokestop 5 min away from the gym where the raid ended, everyone started running but because we were far from the gym the timer went away and the moltres never appeared. All the spawns left after 30 seconds of them appearing

I feel like you only like it being Local Raid only Mystic because you CAN do it locally, for those who can't actually do them locally this is an absolute kick in the teeth

I had two raids local. Gf and I hit both, four devices total all boosted best pals with mega’s. Lvl 37-42. Couldn’t take down either. Woke up and planned our morning specially for this. Absolute waste of time and revives 👍 thanks devs. Pee’d us off and we went home…. I hate this company so much. Data company disguised as a gaming company that gives a hoot about how you feel lol.

I’ve found 5 galarian birds and I haven’t caught any of them😂

It was blast to meet so many people in person again. Unfortunately our spawns dissapeared at click as well. Lets hope next time it will be more polished. :)

And today is the first time I saw Mega Gengar with Legs 😶

2:56 unless you are in the European region. We didn't get any extra rare spawns other than the basic season of light spawns. We did wait for 15 minutes after every raid, I'd rather have done more raids than get litwick spawns. We didn't get any spawns after the raids. 7:37 The legendary birds spawned according to hours??? It was an amazing event and the best part was that there were 3 different time slots for the raids to hatch. Most of my community did the morning set of raids but one of our community members was at work and a family was late for the event. So, after clearing the raids for 11 am we had another session of raids so that we could help out everyone who missed out. Also, since the raid eggs appeared the night before, we were able to plan the raids after the community day. This gave us ample amount of time to devise a route for the raids and plan for a second gathering for people who were busy in the morning session. However, I'd have loved it if the pokemon actually spawned after the raids as we had no such spawns here in the UK, and if it wasn't for Fleece King's stream, we wouldn't have known about the surprise.

Must be nice not having bugs lag and other issues while doing the Elite Raids

Mystic never disappoints

One idea I just had is that they could make some of the raids for 11am and some for 11:30, then 30 minutes on a raid timer would be fine, PLUS we'd get an hour to do the raids. And with them starting at different times, it would be more intuitive to the community on an actual route.

The best part about this video is his grandmas cookie

When we got done with the raid, the “rare” spawns showed up around town. NOT at the gym we were at. We had a new account with us and there were silhouettes on it. However, there was no way we could drive all over town to pick up these spawns. One player posted he had an Articuno spawn miles away. Not quite what I thought would happen with these “rare” spawns.

And the worse part it is once you go to it they despawn because you left the radius of the gym.

Would've been nice to experience this new content unfortunately was only able to get like 2-3 people in a lobby all day long

There were 2 elite raids near me, basically side by side starting at the same time. So I assumed people would show up for how convenient it was, but only 4 of us were there.

We had two Zapdos after Elite raids, both did the Daily Incense thing and ran after one ball. I also got a Metang, which I assume was from the raid spawns. It was nice to see people I haven't raided with in a long time, though.

I’m sure you’re aware of the rare spawn Pokémon not showing up after the Elite Raids have been beaten. Well it happened to my group after we defeated Hoopa at our EX Gym (was 11 am hatch time here in Fort Nelson British Columbia Canada). An Alolan Raichu did appear on the nearby option but immediately vanished before anyone could see where it was.

This happened to me too. A few reginal pokemon appeared and then 5 seconds later, done. Then they'd appear again but then, gone.

My group beat 3 raids and did not even see a rare spawn

I live in London, central. Even here none of the raids had more than 2 people, it was an impossible and frustrating event. Niantic need to accept this game just isn’t the cult classic it once was and needs to cater to a dwindling player base instead of a stubborn ideology. All this just wanted to make me stop playing out of frustration than bringing me into the game further. I have no problem socialising, there just aren’t the communities to do so anymore. Also, this should have been the prime launch for Niantic Campfire, but it still remains invite only and the flares being friends only completely ruin any purpose it should have.

To find spawns, we coordinate with our group by having everyone check different corners of the state and screenshot the eggs and timer.

Best thing I got was a wooloo spawn, but they were *fifteen minute walks away* on the nearby. Absurd

That was the loudest train in my life got me laughing 😂😂😂😂😂😂

We didn't get a timer after hoopa was defeated or any rare spawns. The spawns were the same before and after. The gyms were also glitching on community day because there were no litwick spawns either. When that happens it's frustrating to see and hear about people catching something really cool and we didn't even get the chance.

Had Dragonite, Metagross, and Snorlax at different times after different raids. Only managed to find a single Dragonite, and it fled. Snorlax fled on my way to it, according to the nearby. I didn't get ANY legendary birds. Got zero things from the surprise spawns after the raids.

I didn't know there were special spawns after raiding Hoopa Unbound that day :( I at least got a few Hoopa Unbounds, but I really wanted a legendary bird, even just one!

I got a bunch of friends out and we got 6, i ended up catching 5 and the highest iv was 93%. It was a pretty fun event, I wish they would release a new elite raid once a month like community day to bring communities together when a good Pokémon everyone wants comes out.

I also had a zapdos spawn but sadly it ran away after one ultra ball gold razz, only one person in our 13 person group caught it so they’re pretty hard to catch…one of us missed a shiny one too😓

I did a couple of Hoopa raids with a few friends & at first I was feeling anxious because I thought we might not have enough, but decided to give it a try & despite doing them with not many people (less than 10), we were able to beat them, even though the 2nd raid was slightly harder than the first one.

There is a fog of war that you are missing when the timer goes off

I am so glad in person raids are becoming much more prevalent now, without the removal of Remote Raids. These really rare Pokemon like Hoopa-U encourage people to have to walk out far

I can’t walk out to an elite raid cos they only spawn at a specific time, and I cant make it and there event isn’t any ex raid gyms near me so hoopa can spawn and practically no one raids near my area, my only way of getting legendary Pokémon from raids is to send raid invites

i saw a dragonite on the nearby but it was more than 30m away so i think it might have been a legitimate wild dragonite and sadly it fled just as i got to it. I also got 2 94% hoopas, I was so close

When I did a hoopa raid, I found moltres on my nearby radar, but it was across a giant body of water. After a few seconds, it told me it ran away.

Very strange that only youtubers found rare spawns after raids.....

I like how these things are at set hours so players at least know well in advance precisely what time these will be available, but I feel like there is one oversight to that; The whole thing with rare Pokémon spawning after the raid for 15 minutes, while only for 30 minutes these specific raids spawn, and people might want to do multiple. For instance on release day I went to a big city where at 5pm 2 of these raids spawned. Walking between the two gyms barely provided sufficient time to clear both raids. We didn't have time to stick around for 15 minutes after the first raid to first check the spawns, therefor ultimately missing out on that part of the mechanic.

Bro in my town there are players I won’t lie, but NO ONE ever does raids. Usually it’s just me and my cousin and we run like a block or two away to our nearest gym but cmon it’s not like us two are defeating it 💀

They just fled... all of the spawns fled as soon as i got to them and not even mentioning that we had 6 ppl only raiding this.

I have a strange glitch where on my grandmas phone, I use a daily incense and if I travel I always find a Glarian bird, I've found 1 Glarian articuno and 2 glarian zapdos

Would have been a nice event if my area had an active community. Couldn't find a good discord or anything so I just sat at the raids hoping people would show up and ended up wasting my time. I was at the main park in my city too.

I'm a retail worker so my raid day was spent at work looking at all the cool stuff happening on Twitter, but these Elite Raids are cool. They definitely need work though. Also announcing them like a month in advance would be super helpful. They don't have to say what the boss will be but just like the date they will show up so I can request the day off would be fantastic.

Once I encountered a galarian articuno and nearly caught it in a regular pokeball

I was only able to do one raid and it was in a weepinbell nest, so basically all the “rare spawns” were just weepinbell.

No spawns appeared for me -- did 5 raids and the timer only came up 1 time with nothing coming from it.

The first time I got on Pokémon, I saw a gallerian Zapdos didn’t run away

I think if they decide to stay with the 30min timer, that each gym should hatch one at all 3 times. It makes it so you don’t have to run around everywhere

I once went to the dog beach and fhuold grain moltres and it ran away but it’s fine since i allredde got glarin moltres and i got shadow shiny aticuno in the furture

Niantic really trolled me on this one, I got kanto bird spawns at pokestops outside of the gym radius, so when I would go to get them I would be no longer considered close enough to the gym for them to spawn

My guess for not being able to form change is you need to finish the hoopa research from last year

Those spawns sucked. As soon as we got closer, it just despawns. They should either make the radius around the players that beat it or increase the radius of the elite gym .

Hope they can eliminate that transfer restriction on Hoopa, if you do a few you'll lose that space in storage

i live near a major city and to do these raids i drive hrs to an even more major city to make sure i get it. the in person thing was fun when everyone and their mom played but now you need to be somewhere super populated or have your own 10+ person community.

For the condition to change hoopa's form, you should have finished 2 special researches since the past year's Halloween event, the "Misunderstood Mischief" and "Mischief Unbound" special researches. If I recall it right, It's timed special research, and if you missed at that time, so hope for Niantic to bring it back this year.
