UPDATE 1: I've since retested the polling rate on XinputTest and am getting better results. The wired is mega inconsistent (1.9-4ms) averaging around 250hz but it isn't as bad as the wireless. UPDATE 2: I found the switches in the D-Pad! They're the Kalih cmi873101s106 from what I was able to find and they're rated for 3 million clicks!

Every controller I've tried since using a Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma has made me miss the extra pair of shoulder remappable buttons. I can't believe no other controllers are using them. Too bad I tried 4 of the Razer controllers and all of them had QA problems.

@@DieiNoctis Razer is garbo, the new chroma for PS5 is literal garbage, their support is garbage, if you need 4+ extra buttons, the Elite Series 2 with its shift key functionality is SSS tier. Then again, it's the XSX2 which has it's own problems. Personally my only gripe about it is the sticks are xbox style, which leads to pain in the left middle finger from how the hands sit on the controller, along the lack of ergonomic design for the hands (the controller has no curve on the bottom side)

@@MikeTheSe7enth Razer makes great if overpriced peripherals, in concept, except that they have absolutely trash QA. I love my naga pro, but I think I went through 6 of them before I found one without manufacture defects. Maybe I'm just picky. The Elite Series 2 has notoriously bad build quality, which is unfortunate because it is otherwise a pleasant controller to use. I won't touch anything resembling a dualsense with a battery life shorter than my attention span. Specifically though I wish people would poach the third shoulder button configuration from Razer and put it on a better controller.

@@DieiNoctis I had 2 wolverine ultimates, got them both refurbished and each lasted me ~1yr. They were excellent, except, like the xsx2, cause left middle finger nerve damage. In terms of ps5 controllers, Victrix bfg pro is the #2 controller of all time, it's straight up perfect minus the shape of the triggers. Only reason I don't rank it #1 is because currently the software doesn't allow for a shift key functionality like the xsx2. The xsx2 is amazing idc what anyone says, but I did get a GREAT one on my 1st attempt. I think the build quality is great but maybe the QA was mid.

On some pads you can switch between square and circle for the analogue sticks, maybe one of the function buttons does that? No idea what situation that would be better for but it's a thing.

I think that the right stick is setup for fighter games. I seen this also on another Hall Effect controller and you have to set it up to be for a circle instead of a square. Hopefully they got back to you.

This controller seems so close to being perfect but was poorly executed. All I want is a wireless controller with 4 back paddles/buttons, quality face buttons, and triggers, little to no input delay, and most importantly Hall Effect sensor thumbsticks. This one was close but not close enough. Honestly, aside from the terrible QC issues and shitty potentiometers, Microsoft really did make an incredible controller with the Elite Series 2. If they would just make the Elite Series 3 with Hall Effect sensors, I'd gladly spend $200 on it. Only time will tell. Great video. Thanks for the review.

I think later you should try to check & review the new GameSir T4 Kaleid Wired (Yes I know it's wired but I love the low latency) as it comes with both Joysticks & Triggers Hall Effect. I am now currently use GameSir G7 Wired and it performs perfectly well and the quality of it is great from such brand. It has a 259hz polling rate with 3.85ms latency which is very good I would say (same latency with DualSense 5 from my testing). It has 2 back buttons, with only Hall Effect Triggers & the Joysticks only use ALPS pontentiometer. It has its own software to customize it to 0 Deadzone for the Analog Joysticks. I mainly use this controller for Apex Legends PC and it performs well for me!

Vcuda, i always like your videos, ive brought this up to ak40keven as well. Why wont they just give us the perfect controller. Is it patents? But what do you think the perfect controler is? I say, elite 2 format with out adjustable t-sticks. Seem to afect my acuracy with that 16th of an inch gap. Tac switches all around. What else do we need? It would be to simple. I think its a conspiracy to keep us buying crap in search of the least worst. Im exahsted by it. I truley value onley two opinins on the mater. Yours is one. Kevens is the other. I am seeing the "G5" model of THIS controller going up for preorder and I am VERY worried.

According to the company, the left stick being a rectangle is a feature not a bug.... Ridiculous I know. However, they do provide a firmware update that gives the left thumbstick the perfect circularity of the right stick. With that firmware applied, I think the only real con this controller has is the 100hz polling rate. Once the back buttons are set in keylinker, their assignment doesn't change.

I'll have to look more into that firmware, I thought it was just a firmware update but someone told me you have to contact them to get it. I've been busy the past few days so I haven't really had time, but thank you for bringing it back to my attention! I suppose I should've dug a bit deeper for the firmware beforehand Unfortunately the buttons also choose when to keep, or discard their binds. I'm sure this an isolated incident, but its still super irritating. The custom thumbstick deadzones didn't always stay put either, it was an extremely inconsistent experience with keylinker Like I said, I'd like to think its just a one off. But I also think it could have something to do with the God Awful connection the controller has, who knows. It's so close to being dead on perfect. I hope one day it can be!

@@vCuda Ive had the controller for some weeks now and didn’t have any issues with it (I did the firmware update day 1) It’s most likely due to not having updated it that you’re experiencing problems You can use the phone app to update the controller as well, there’s no reason to send them an email or whatever

I would only recommend the xbox elite if you play claw. The paddles are to close together even for my small hands. The razer just feels too good no lie. I can’t use any other controller tbh.

So far I just like plain buttons not levers . The elite series 2 is basically an Xbox controller with back buttons other controllers offer more in my opinion, if that helps you decide

@Kowezzy thanks man , with the razer can you disable the right stick? Like for example I play apex and use crouch on the right stick and at times I press it down when I don't mean to so can it be disabled? Not the movement of the whole stick just the press of it if that makes sense

if you wanna do the sponser segments, and not have us skip them, cut them down to like 30 seconds. not 2 minutes. i mean i didint skip it, but ill probably skip the next ones of they are stupid long. controller does seem cool though. im still looking at the 8bitdo Ult 2.4+BT that you reviewed alittle while ago. Honestly im just waiting for my PS5 controller to die. With its aluminum joysticks, and gen 1 RISE backpaddle kit, i dont see a point in upgrading from it to anything else.

They could bring the price up to $100 with the inclusion of better software and better QC. Renamed as the G7+ or G7 Pro. The only problem I see with the price increase is that it might be too much for their intended audience. It's geared towards people that want the experience of a licensed Pro controller without paying the license tax.

I bought this controller months ago without having seen any reviews in the US. I bought it because it had Hall effect joysticks, mechanical buttons and rear buttons….ended up being the most ass busted controller I have ever used. INSANE stick drift out of the box and the back buttons felt like I was clicking a 1989 NES controller. They wouldn’t even let me return it even after I tried to reset the software and sent them videos of the controller not working 🤣 horrible company.

Sounds pretty good on paper like you said but any controller with just 2 buttons/paddles is a deal breaker for me. The Wolverine V2 Chroma remains king for me for now. Always love to hear the brutal honest truth, wish more people would do that.

If you have a square deadzone, your movement isn't going to be symetrical. The corners take longer to get to, so diagonal movements take longer and overall the experience feels awkward imo. I used it in a few shooters, and it definitely isn't ideal I will admit, I probably should've harped on that one a bit more when I bought it up. I didn't really dig into it as much as I should've. My mistake

@@vCudahe’s correct, according to them, they calibrated it to be better for fps games. The left stick has no circularity deadzone so that movement on the left stick is faster and easier. This is what they said, not me. Man I’m so disappointed this controller wasn’t the thing I was hoping for it to be… I wonder if you’re still willing to check out that other gamesir controller with Hall effect sticks, given how good gamesir controllers can be.

Through "investigation", this controller maybe just and alteration from Thunderobot G6, since both company despite different branding actually sells under same Machenike Thunderobot official store in Asia. Thunderobot do give the accessories like thumbstick cap and the phone mount, though this brand is actually not available in Amazon (mostly listed and not available). Chinese peripheral also significantly more expensive in US due to tax.

Good work man! They look extremely similar, I must say. I find this to be the case with a lot of budget end Pro controllers coming from smaller companies, the majority of them aren't made in house. In fact, I don't know why I never thought about this, good eye! Some controllers like PowerA for example, appear to be made in house. For better or for worse lol. They also sent out the new G5 Pro, I was wondering if you had a chance to take a look at it? It's a vast improvement in my opinion, and the response time is pretty good wired

@@vCuda Don't have the chance yet, but Machenike is usually hit or miss. Mostly miss. If the g5 pro price is the same with g6, it will be reasonable since technically it get the same features like 8bitdo Ultimate. Machenike tend to make weird designs with peripherals and overcharge the price despite the inside being average. Edit: Oh wow..! it is 200Y aka $30, best budget 2023?

The deadzones come out of the box with almost 0 circulation on both sticks this time, and it doesn't feel nearly as slow and clunky. I'll have to keep digging into it, as well as perform a teardown. I don't wanna make any hasty recommendations in my review! I hope I get to a video from you with it when you can. You seem to care about the details, not many controller reviewers do

The company pronounce it like this: "Ma-Che-Nik" "Ma" like from "Mama", "Che" like from "Chest" without the "st" "Nik" like how you pronounce the name "Nick" and not something close to "nighk"

There is a known fix for the left stick. It is not really a complete review if you did not update the firmware to fix it.
