About the "ur alright" thing that's funny bc we kinda do the same thing here in France, like if you just walk by someone you know you casually say "ça va" with little smile and then just keep walking but that does not mean you have to start a conversation or anything. Sometimes you just answer by "and u" and that's the last thing that can be said in this interaction lol

"the moon is beautiful" doesn't mean "i love you". what happened is that a great contemporary japanese author, (natsume soseki) who translated his own work into english chose to translate the line for US as "i love you". it's became a statement about the subtlety of japanese love. the story was taught in schools when his work was taught and became so well known that the phrase became a referential way to confess love, first for people of a certain age and eventually more broadly. but if you meet a Japanese person not who's familiar with the story, you'll just be sayin that the moon is beautiful. It demonstrates his skill with language.

Can't believe that kind of crappy content actually got me

Pewds telling the story of the fish and then being scared by the stalker, I wonder how that felt. Thinking about a memory and then having the same thing happen to you but in a video game.

I actually got hilarious videos on my algorithm at first, but then I was spammed with politics and controversial topics out of nowhere and for weeks that was all that showed up. But finally it's sending me memes and the good stuff again

I had a manager that would asked me “are you alright?” And I would just reply “hey” but he was so persistent that he would ask again because he actually wanted me to answer 😂😂😂

I remember this one clip of pewdiepie playing a horror game where he was super scared and then got jumpscared and literally started speaking swedish again.

Maybe this is an american thing, but that gesture is often just an acknowledge ment of another person to let them know you see and register them, sometimes just to get their attention other times as a sign of mutual respect like when youre walking By someone when you're on the street. I often actually answer if people ask "how are you" and I don't mean it as a greeting when I say it.

"Y'aight?" doubles as a hello here, if someone's genuinely asking about how you're doing it'll usually be "how've you been," or "how're you doing," etc.

Here in the US people ask "how are you?" And then continue talking without waiting for you to actually answer.
