I think the core item of riven on ss14 must be sundered sky and shojin. It give riven health, ad, cd and it make auto attack with passive crit. On lv 18 riven passive is 160% ad and it always crit for 75% more damage to first champion he reach. And i dont know but 12% shojin ability damge buff maybe affect riven passive dame to and make it crit more harder each time riven reach a new champion

I like Profane Hydra > Eclipse > Spear Shojin > Death Dance > Maw. Gives me that extra waveclear for tempo as well as some early lethality. Then you get Eclipse and one shot everything. Spear more CDR and your tempo feels unreal but you are squishy and then death dance / more in whichever order required so you don’t get one shot in teamfights.

@@DuongNguyen-yr5es Agreed, Ravenous seems very strong as well having tested a bit more. I personally like the profane with the extra lethality which is really good against tanks right now (weirdly enough) but you do massively miss the lifesteal.

@@cocomartin5130 What is your reasoning in this? Even the base stats of the Hydra’s are golf efficient, then when you add in the waveclear / tempo advantage you get as well as an active you can animation cancel as Riven.

@@palacedelaarigi3796 it's 3200 gold for an item that's terrible in duels. if you're even in gold against someone who has eclipse, trinity, botrk, kraken, or shojin you're just straight up gonna lose in an extended fight. eclipse and shojin is a much better rush, and by your 3rd item, you'll either need to go defensive or pure pen.

Can you try Hubis rush on Riven? I play it vs squishy top matchups and always win!

Do you do animation cancel on q to riven? Can i still be good with her without doing that?

Riven is worse than other champions even while doing the proper cancels, so if you don’t do them she underperforms heavily. It only takes a little bit in the practice tool to get the hang of, and it is HIGHLY encouraged to learn to do it before playing the character in game. However, once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.

I played her back in the days but it seems like you don't really understand that the entire game has changed since then and you need more ah BC everyone is a mobility champ atm. So riven needs more ability haste than before and what items do you build so that you get 3 items 90 AH. Last time I checked you get 20 from shojin(+15 ah passive) + 20 from BC + 20 from hydra. And that's if you go full AH that means you have 0 defences and get bursted down like crazy and you have 0 damage with that type of build. If you go for some defences it's 35 shojin + 15 deathdance + maw 0/ +steelcaps 0/ mercs 0. Or you go even more damage in that cas you have 35shojin + 15 sundered +15 eclipse.

@@joshbrucks 90 AH is like 45% BC it scales slower the more AH you have+ last season you could get around 70 ah with just 2 items (cleaver and hydra) and boots of lucidity now riven spikes when she reaches full build which is way to late. But we will see that she will get a buff. Because of the recent changes. Have a nice day

this dude is a top tier challenger and ex-pro, and most top rivens who have been playing for ages have been building something similar. unless items or riven gets reworked, the build is going to be some variation of shojin first or second. you might be the one who is an idiot in fact, but guess we'll see

@@NinjaOnANinja no I think being a one trick, someone who has played a bunch of games and is ranked top 50 in the current patch in the EUW server, makes it a fair thing to consider. No one said it's an absolute truth. You can have your own opinion but still consider valid opinions. Also, I have a weird feeling that despite how confident you are in knowing how to make it, you haven't done so yourself.
