I love the Drybar Detox dry shampoo - it’s my all time favorite lol. But yes, the original scent stinks bad, they have other scents like Vanilla Bourbon and Coconut Colada that are wayyy better. I also spray mine from underneath so I don’t get quite as much of a white cast, but I like that it makes my hair lighter, brightens up my blonde highlights.

You should try the Briogeo powder dry shampoo for your next video! Once I got used to applying it I prefer powder over spray. I just sprinkle the powder in my fingers and then rub it in rather than directly applying to my hair. I like the Briogeo version because it doesn't irritate my scalp at all. It definitely works better if you apply it before your hair gets greasy though.

My favourites so far have been the Living Proof pHD, QUAI and Amika. I have not used any of the others other than Batiste which was horrible, I always found drugstore ones just mask your hair in white powder rather than actually cleaning your hair like Living proof. The Amika one is the only one that does not leave a cast on my black hair. The QUAI was ok but left a slight cast on my hair, it smelled nice though

I'm late to the dry shampoo game -- I really like the Andrew Fitzsimmons version. I don't get gross roots, but this does what I need with a subtle nice scent and low, runnable cast. I hate coconut scents, so I was pleased they didn't use that note.

Hi Beautiful! Have you read anything about aerosol dry shampoo containing pore-clogging aluminum? It apparently serves the same purpose as deodorant... like for armpits 😒 I do notice more clogged hair follicles on my scalp when I consistently use dry shampoo spray no matter which brand but I never thought about the aluminum being the cause? I'm just going with a powder product next time

Hey Abbey! The garnier fructis invisible dry shampoo might be right up your alley! It’s a light clean feeling formula and slightly wet feeling. The oil absorption isn’t the best considering it is so light but if you applied it before your hair got super greasy I think you might like it! I like the watermelon scent and the coconut scent. There’s two others but they are for specifically more texture. I hate the feeling of dry shampoo and these are my favorite that I’ve tried. Love your hair care videos! If you ever get your hands on the Diane dry shampoo try it!! It is Japanese, I love it. It really soothes my scalp, does not leave any white, it is kind of translucent almost. I use the mango one, it smells so fresh like true mango with some mint! Aside from this one first I only ever used the batiste brunette one, but I am so done with the scent and it was too powdery for me. And I didn’t really like the fact that it was colored. After another video of yours I got the living proof one! I really liked it, but it is so expensive in comparison. The Diane is more expensive than batiste, but still way cheaper them living proof!

Have you tried the Cake tinted dry shampoo? It is a powder, not a spray, but I would be interested to know your opinion on it.

Dry shampoo seems like a product that’s very personal. My favorite dry shampoo that works amazingly well for me, will be my friend’s least favorite. Sometimes a dry shampoo that I usually like will feel like it’s failed me in my time of need when I don’t have time to wash, dry and style my hair.

Hey Abbey! This is totally unrelated but i thought i would comment on your most recent video. When using face self tanning drops (like isle of paradise) can you use things like vitamin c, peptides, squalene, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, retinol, etc.m at the same time? How would you split that up between night and morning so none of the ingredients in products would interfere with each other, so to speak. ? Thanks so much!

I despise that IGK option. I got a mini from Sephora but threw it in the trash after 1 use. So much gunk and my scalp hated it. Looooove the PHD Advanced Clean

Hi Abbey , I was very fortunate you popped up on my You-Tube feed . 😊 YES !!!! what a very surprising and tremendously refreshing honesty . Down to the “ no I’m not recommending this one due to the smell” just that tid bit of info ( is invaluable) of course we all have different opinions . Even with just smell. However you give us the heads up…… Perhaps we will love the smell perhaps it would be a deal breaker . I appreciate your candor and honesty . New Subscriber I look forward to watching all of your videos . ❤ Thank You 🙏

For ones with more of a cast they work better for me if I use it before bed. Then I wake up and it’s off my actual scalp and my hair looks normal but just less greasy. This trick makes more of them work for me.

I’m going to target today with like 4/5 dry shampoo on my list. 😂 Plus some other hair care items you’ve mentioned. I will put out the money for k18 and other specific things, but some things like dry shampoo I go through to fast to spend the big bucks.

Is the fragrance of the Kristin Ess one strong? I don’t mind some fragrance, but not super strong. I have another product from Kristin Ess that has the nicest, most subtle smells. Now I’m thinking about trying this dry shampoo.

Hi Abbey, Hope you're keeping well! I was on the hunt for a dry shampoo in between my next wash day. The trouble I have with these products is that I have a full fringe and I find it difficult to use the product on this part of my hair without it looking grayish looking as apposed to the rest of my hair. Any tips? I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend 💕!
