I truly believe they will have to answer for their actions someday. My Mom and Dad would say " they would throw their kids away if they could get away with it.

Horrible people just abandoning her kitty like trash. She's not feral...she wouldn't last long outside...and possibly blind....what a terrible human. Karma, baby, for you, poor kitty owner.

To let their cat just fend for herself, AND probably well aware that she can't see, was callous. A big Thank You to this kind woman who rescued such a sweet cuddler. You're right. She'll always be waiting for you, on your bed, and ready for the next cuddle session!

I never understood people who just abandon their pets. When my maternal grandma died and my grandpa has to move in with relatives because he couldn't live alone, we had to bring the dog my grandparents back to the shelter they'd gotten her from years before and I genuinely don't understand why other people don't do the same thing if they can't keep/take care of a pet anymore.

I adore people who break the rules about animals for all the right reasons. This lady is awesome for bringing the sweetie in.

A cat was abandoned in the parking lot of my apartment and I was told she sat there for nearly two hours. A little girl had hopped out of a van and left her there. I adopted her, she was thin and pregnant. Honey lived happily with us for the remained of her life.

Five cats have owned me. They all were barn cats until they found me. I loved each and every one of them. They all lived 19-20 years. My last one passed this year. I’m too old to have more fur babies but I still miss having one around. Bless you for giving this beauty a home.

You can always long term foster a senior cat or a hospice cat to get them out of the shelter and give them a loving home. It's desperately needed, and the love and the reward you would get in return is priceless. Also when you foster, the shelter provides the meds and vet care.

I love that you adopted that beautiful girl, esp when you “weren’t allowed”. But cats are obligate carnivores. Lactose in milk products is very bad for them, and it’s cumulative. Try asking for some cheese for her instead, at fast food places. There is little to no lactose in cheese and is a much safer choice. Ty for being a loving cat mama!

Her clipped ear indicates she was likely a community cat at some point in her life. Many Humane Society-type organizations provide free or low-cost spay/neuter services for feral or community cats. Females spayed under these programs usually have one of their ears "tipped" to indicate sterilization.

Not necessarily feral, some are community cats or barn cats that are very friendly, they just don't have people (unfortunately), or are lost. All my cats were tipped once fixed (and microchipped when that started to be a thing), even though they were indoor only. They'd still escape occasionally.
