I think the reason his vert is relatively low is due to his ankle issues he had early in his career. I think it was a conscious decision for him not to put too much stress on his ankles thus not really trying to max his vert, which now means he has a lower vert than most players his height

He can do 360’s, reverses and other fancy dunks. I saw him so fancy dunks during practice, he just don’t do them much in games because he don’t want to waste energy. Remember that 6’2” is nowhere near short, his standing reach is about 8’2”. All he have to do is just clear a 29 to 30 inch vertical to dunk. Almost all NBA players can dunk, many just choose not to waste energy during games.

Wonder if he has problems palming? Also, it does hurt your wrist like hell to dunk. I already had issues palming the ball in 10th grade, but then shattered my middle finger on my shooting hand. I mean it is literally steal rods and nearly half an inch shorter. So, I could get my elbows above the rim, but I couldn't palm a basketball. I'd have to throw it off the rim to myself, and then our coach sat us a quarter for dunking or shooting threes anyway.
