Abie Danters is back at Blackwood this week from the 18th till the 21st only a 6 arm Extreme, Danters Waltzers and the Insania Miami so not much rlly but it's the support that counts tbh. I remember this one fair in Nelson which had to leave 3 days early due to not having enough support and not getting enough money to keep the rides running even though it was a good lineup with Thriller Express, Frogs, Crazy Cage and Energizer miami and it was dead it's so upsetting seeing fairs this empty 😢

We went here yesterday. Wasn't much if an atmosphere as it was so quiet but my kids enjoyed the rides

Yea same here. Unfortunately it's the way it is at the moment. Most grounds are quiet...as long as the children enjoyed that's the main thing

@@breakingtrailsukYeah ik i went to a fair in merthyr not so long ago start of april and it was barley anyone there i remember i went on the waltzer all on my own even the other carts was empty same thing with the insania.

I think some fairs struggle due to the lack of machines present because they often are on small grounds. Living in Haverfordwest we were always used to having big fairs here until the council stopped them going back to the ground after they built the new leisure centre. Now the ground they have is small and even smaller the last few years after Aldi extended. It’s sad to think that one day we may never have a funfair here again. The town council mainly the mayor keep saying watch this space for a new location but it never comes to anything. I really hope the council will one day allow them a better site 🙏🤞

Funfairs are dying only need to go to goose and Hull if local funfairs had more old skool rides like Dive bomber giant octopus skid ski jumps arks rock o plane more people would go all local funfairs have the same machines

I agree unfortunately mate. Unfortunately vintage is not what people want....hence that's one of the reasons carter's had to close up. I would love the old bombers to come back but it's just not feasible in this day and age.
