I Found a MONSTER in an Abandoned Pond!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

In today’s video I save MONSTER fish from an abandoned pond! Someone has been putting aquarium fish into this pond and it recently stopped working! So I had to try and catch as many fish out and save them before it’s too late! Hoping we wouldn’t find an alligator, we netted around in the dirty pond and caught African cichlids, angelfish, gar, ripsaw catfish, Severums, clown knife fish, lungfish, and even MONSTER FISH like arowanas, and fire eels! After saving a ton of fish out of the first waterfall, we decided to go find the second one! When we walked up to the pond we were shocked to find the POND MONSTER living inside! it turned out to be a massive albino channel catfish which we caught and brought back to my backyard pond, along with all the other fish we rescued which we put into my fish tanks, Should we go back and save more fish for a part 2?

That large catfish at the end is an Albino ChannelCatfish. A natural species of catfish however an Albino mutation is extremely rare since these fish are not in the pet trade. It occurred naturally. Definitely a really really cool fish to keep!

Same here! I don't subscribe to any other fish channel, never had any interest in it, and yet I'm here watching and wait eagerly for new videos. Not sure what it is? Maybe Bobby's excitement and just how much fun he seems to have? But whatever the reason is I'm glad to have found something new!

Dont know if you have thought about it, but for those small ponds like you were at to might be easier to get all of the fish out if you drain them. All you have to do is get the biggest bilge pump for boats and some hose for it and your little generator put a plugin on the wires for it .

Bluegill & bass eggs will often cling to the legs of aquatic birds, such as egrets & blue heron then get deposited in other bodies of water. I can only assume that some other species like tilapia would be the same. Here in south Louisiana new businesses often dig retention ponds for rain runoff & even tho landlocked, within a year you will see bluegill & bass without being stocked.

I'm not 100% sure because a stressy severum looks completely different to a happy coloured up severum... But that severum looks suspiciously like it might turn out to be a Rotkeil Severum aka Redneck Severum. So much rarer than green or gold severums! Even working in the aquatics trade for a lot of years here in the UK, I have only ever seen one real Rotkeil Severum! And you can bet i bought that fish in a second for next to nothing with a long journey and no tank set up for him 😂 i saw him all dull, faded and being picked on in a 'dump tank' in an aquatic store in the same chain i worked in but one i would likely never visit again anyway and i hadnt told them.i worked for the company. They had zero idea what the fish was at all! It had been brought in by a customer whose tank had cracked.and they gave up keeping fish so dumped them all at the store. The member of staff had no idea what the dull muddy looking fish was so i told them it was a severum 🤷🏻‍♀️ i just wasnt specific 😂 off they went to ask manager what to charge for it, i was expecting about £50 ($61) but they shrugged and asked for a £10 ($12!) because they didnt buy the fish and didnt even know what it was 😂 had him triple bagged in a big xl koi sized bag and put in a poly box and padded with bubble wrap and bags of air to prevent movement.., 3 hour drive home, then another hour juggling fish and completely changing all my tanks around to set this severum up in his own tank. Within two days he was way more coloured up and i tried giving.him two angelfish for company, he loved them and coloured up even more! His face was almost electric blue and the red band round his neck was blood red. Thr angels looked a bit boring (wild type) but their personalities made up for it because they were hilarious. An openly gay pair of male angels that worshipped each other and clearly wanted to breed or had the urges to but obviously couldnt... they would take it in turns every couple of months and one would act like he was laying eggs up plant stens and the other would follow along as if fertilising the imaginary eggs 😂 then in a couple of months they would reverse roles 🤷🏻‍♀️ i tried separating them once and pairing with females but both battered the females right away.. The severum used to love just following the angels around and just watching the drama because there was always drama with those too! So much love and affection and then so much bickering as well. The severum was just the most chilled out big fish ive ever seen!

OMG! What an amazing catch! I think you and Brandon should go back for a part 2 and 3. I was on the edge of my seat clear through. Just think what else is in there and what if there’s another big catfish hiding. Great video. See you guys on the next video!❤

It could be a white catfish that is native to South Carolina Georgia, and Florida and I think Alabama. They are rare to find anywhere at all. You need to contact fish and wildlife to get it properly identified and find out if it's even legal to keep.
