You know... with how that pressure plate is placed out in the open like that gave me a good idea to hide a base. Basically you hide the pressure plate that opens the base under a grass block that blends in with the landscape around your base? Sure you're going to have to use a silk touch shovel just to get inside without significantly revealing your hiding spot for a while, but it's definitely worth it enough that you could do it.

I usually use a stream of water, I drop an item in the hole, the water carries it to a pressure plate that I can access from inside the base, to reset it

TBH if i were playing on a server after these vids i would definetly make sure that i have an invisible player detection system with dispensers throwing cobblestone to the whole floor, so i can see if someone picks it up.

i like how the bit where you drink the invisibility potion a few seconds in to the video is clipped so you're drinking it to the music
