It was finally time to head to one of the Kgalagadi's most popular camps, Nossob rest camp, where I would spend 5 nights on a premium stand in the campsite. My stay was actually off to a rock start at Nossob when I found out that my stand, no.9, had zero shade and no privacy. Luckily I was able to move to no.2, which was much, much better!
On my very first morning at Nossob, I headed to Bedinkt Waterhole. It became clear that the roads in the northern Kgalagadi were extremely corrugated, forcing me to rethink my game viewing plans for this leg of the journey. The stakeout at Bedinkt paid off, though, with an epic sighting of a caracal that came to drink around 8am.
I also saw a beautiful lioness drinking at Rooikop Waterhole south of Nossob and I do a detailed walk-around my car, Tom Cruiser, to give you an idea of my camp setup.

Great video as usual. Awesome caracal sighting. The roads last year were the worst we have experienced but still an adventure. That ostrich wing awning looks wonderful and something we need to look at.

Beautiful video, Kgalagadi doesn't disappoint. I liked the caracal sighting, very rare. Is it possible to track the black maned lions of the Kgalagadi. Also very rare and hardly seen.

Again an awesome episode. We have a question, we see that you place your beanbag over your window. That sometimes it seems useful to me. What do you use as filling to make this possible?
