your sock binge has been inspiring me to do a sock binge and buying all this yarn isn't good for me but it also is so who cares
I'm taking a break from knitting this week to rest my hands. Big mistake watching a video with so many cute patterns! 💀
Thanks so much for the video! I just became obsessed with knitting socks too!
Ugh, sometimes I think I spend more time browsing patterns than I do actually knitting! Great video, and I added a couple more patterns to my favorites, so thank you for that. I'm a little embarrassed by how many of these have already been in my favorites for ages and yet I still haven't knit them, oops. But I'm currently knitting the Pair-a-normal socks, which are free (through Knitty) mosaic colorwork skull socks, and they are SO FUN oh my goodness!
The knitting queen has spoken 🙇🏻♀️
my favorite is the fleegle heel :)) and the turkish cast on :))
Thank you for all the free socks I found several pairs I can’t wait to knit
Thanks for sharing. ❤
I just loved this video and I’m sock obsessed… so perfect!
I really appreciate this video. I’m always looking for free patterns and I find Ravelry hard to navigate…
To me, second hand animal products are vegan because you aren't directly contributing to their production. Loved the video. I have ordered my first sock supplies yesterday and I'm so excited to start. I just have to decide on a pattern. I was definitely inspired by your sock knitting!

I hope you enjoy your sock journey. There's something fascinating about sock construction. So many choices for such a small item.

@@knitty781 thank you, that's very nice. I will start with something simple, but all the options and opportunities for creativity are what I'm really curious about. So I look forward to discovering all the new techniques :)
Love your recommendations. And following your sock journey. I love knitting socks. I have 7 pair on the needles today, as I finished a pair yesterday. I have about 5 pair of finished socks. (I get all excited to knit socks, then another pattern catches my attention). Many of these patterns are already in my faves. I have several bundles of free sock patterns: Sport/DK socks, Striped Socks (for self striping yarns). Colorwork Socks, and Literary Socks. About 175 patterns so far. As for vegan yarn recommendations: Cascade Fixation is a 98% cotton, 2% elastic, Berrocco Comfort is 50/50 Acrylic/Nylon. Sesia Bio Bimbo is 100% organic cotton, and Yarn Bee Cozy Toes is 100% acrylic. I've not used any of these yarns, but I have a couple of skeins of Fixation. My daughter is using Cozy Toes now and it looks comparable to a wool knit sock. She has black w/neon stripes. I believe it's a 50 gram skein and runs about $4 a skein.

thank you!!
The grey and rainbow yarn that you mentioned I have seen in hobby lobby in the hand dyed section
so stoked on this. i have been going through a sock renaissance alongside you hahah. i recently saw a self-ghosting yarn that created a striped pattern with ghosts in-between... like??? pardon??? so cool.

self ghosting...i need!! that's so cool
What a great collection! I, too, spend WAAAYY too much time on Ravelry. (No I don't. Time browsing Ravelry is *never* wasted!) Next in my sock queue is also a free Ravelry pattern: Hermione's Everyday Socks by Erica Lueder.
Every. Single. Day. I try to knit stockings! Every. Single. Day. I fail! I'm not giving up!
So many sock patterns!! I just finished the purl soho ones for my grandma (she asked me for a sock to sleep with♥🧶) and I'm definetly going to knit them again. Also I did a little modification just because the ktbl pattern reminded me of a flower, so I did a knubb (k1 + *yo + k1* 5 times in the same st.) in the last pattern row. Also, I'm going to save this video and come back to look it up when I want to cast on the next sock. Thank you for doing a ravelry bundle!
I'm knitting brioche too. It's just a small part of a Stephen West shawl, but it's reaaaaaly giving me headaches. The yarn is almost spoiled by now, because I've started over so many times. But I still love the effect. I am a boring-sock knitter. I haven't tried a variety of patterns yet, but after seeing your video, I thought I must try something new.
Vegan? How about a cotton + bamboo + nylon/acrylic? It feels very silky.
I'm making pokemon socks for a friend. The designer is the same person who did the legend of Zelda ones. This is My first colorwork project and i had no idea colorwork took so long 😅😅

It grows slow but colorwork is so addictive. You start saying: Only one more row when you start seeing the color pattern, and then it becomes so difficult to stop!

There’s a link in the description to a “bundle” on ravelry, it contains all the pattern links ☺️
I have never knit socks the dpns scare me 😳 but listening to you makes me want to try!
Great selection 👍 just Body socks are Spotty socks
I’ve never knitted socks before. I’m assuming if I want really short socks, I can just skip the ankle portion and go straight to the cuff, right? I can never find a no show pattern and I don’t want to knit socks I won’t wear. 😅

Yes, just skip the leg/ankle part.

Now I'm showing my age, but at one time there was a waiting list to get on to Ravelry. And the hours I've spend on there... Instead of knitting 🙄 Please just remember Ravelry is not an inclusive site. It is a migraine trigger for many people.
Good sock selection, just a tip-no need to use foul language it will turn off viewers
