It worked for me when I had to learn medical terms (in 3 languages). It was just vocabulary though. But the main point is that YOU HAVE TO STUDY THE WORDS ACTIVELY first.

Great video, always love seeing the universal steve love in the language learning community, he's also helped me tremendously. I've found that much of what he says, does and reccomends is actually philosophy for a happy life dressed up as langauge learning advice

@@elainer8288 A lot of the core themes of what he says such as "enjoy the process, the process IS the reward", the idea of"just do it" (make mistakes and dont be afraid to speak, just go for it as you need to failure is a vital part of the learning process) and inputting masses of data from different perspectives instead of "mastering" one perspective are all very important wider skills that can be transferred from language learning to general life. I can attest first-hand how these mindset shifts (partially encouraged by Steve's videos) have drastically improved my quality of life

In my opinion, having already learned english to fluency, traditional learning methods are very useful, but absolutely not necessary. I learnt most of the english language from the internet. I believe studying certain grammar points once in a while is really helpful.

Replacing the swim with cold shower doesn't seem like a bad idea at all.

I'm also trying to learn arabic. Although, I have improved a lot, I still struggle.

“I don’t know what’s up with Spanish people but they talk REALLY fast.” Truer words have never been uttered 😂 I highly recommend you give audiobooks in Spanish a try, they’re slower and clearer and a really great way to immerse (in any language really 😂)

@@desativado-oficial But of course, my original point is that just because someone follows in the foot steps of a polyglots, this is not likely to turn this person into one, unless this person is a rare person. Possibly a lot less than 1% of people in the Western World can speak five or more languages. So ask yourself a common sense question. If it were easy to become one, we'd all be one.
