Airports in CHINA are the main attraction, esp their designs are extra ordinary & traveller's friendly. World's biggest & largest airports are in CHINA only, Beijing's Daxing international is a marvelous one. I miss this airport in your list. I'm Canadian. I always thought Canada was much bigger than China if by looking at the world map. But when i compare flight times, here's what i found: Toronto to Calgary: 3 hr 15 min Vancouver to Halifax: 5 hr 30 min Shanghai to Chengdu: 3 hr 15 min Shanghai to Urumqi: 5 hr 15 min Guangzhou to Harbin: 5 hr 10 min It seems China is just as big as Canada if by flying times. For comparison's sake, New York, USA to London, UK: 7 hr 0 min

The Sanya Airport in 2006 was a wooden structure, very tropical feel

Sometimes I would prefer a loud announcement in an airport. I once missed a flight 3 times in a row, had to reschedule another flight, missed that one, and reschedule and miss another one. I could not believe how I missed all the calls.😬

Haha sorry about that. As a frequent traveler, I’m always arrive at the airport 2 hours before the departure time and at the gate 40 minutes before. And Constantly checking online if there is any change

Surely, if you are at the gate, even if you missed the "Boarding now" announcement you would notice queue moving through gate? Only had problem years ago at AMS where lounge at gate covers several flights. Only times flights have been missed, is when transferring with delayed incoming flight.

I remember the international terminal in Phoenix Airport is a wooden structure architecture that is quite special and looks very tropical too. But it is part away from the main terminal so maybe it is close now because of the pandemic

I’m not an expert on aviation whatsoever, but maybe it could also be related to the flying regulations on each country. I’m not sure if it’s the same everywhere but I find the taking off and landing routes more straightforward in the west. Here in China I have the feeling we spend too much time in the air even when we are very near the airport. Maybe also has something to do with how busy the air space is in big cities. China is rapidly gaining top spots in the world’s busiest airports list

@@RafaGoesAround Part of the reason is that much of the the airspace near coastal cities is reserved for military use. Lots of air defence systems and airforce bases are built along the coast, due to tensions with Taiwan (and the US).

Because the 2D map is distorted. Closer to the pole, bigger you are. Canada is much closer to the north pole than China. Canada is just slightly larger than China in terms of land surface area.
