A tip, if you want it. Put two sets of landing gear. But only extend one set at a time. If one is damaged, swap to the other by extending the other first and then retracting the damaged set.

Adding on to this, he needs to watch how far he placing his rear landing gear compared to the center of mass. If it too far back, it will impede with the plane ability to pitch up for takeoff. Too far forwards and the plane will just fall on it tail.

Make sure you do missions in mission control, they give sizeable amounts of science early game and can help show the locations of places important to the story

0:40 My guess would be methalox would be for rocket engines since the name implies it comes with oxidiser. As an airplane is going to be more likely using a jet engine it won't be needing any oxidiser, since it can use the air it's flying through for that, so just plain methane fuel is probably best for jets.

Dude, think about it, if you put center of lift behind center of mass, then it's trying to lift the back of the plane first, causing your nose to pitch down... (Your plane pitching into the ground is what makes it suddenly want to turn in weird directions when your taking off)

those solar panels aren't necessary and are probably creating a ton of drag, as the jet engines (like most engines in the game) generate electricity. Each of your three Wheesley engines generates 4 EC/second, so you have way more than enough to transmit while flying

just a tip for planes, they'll automatically pitch up over time due to the curvature of the planet, however you can do a smooth pitch down motion by setting SAS to Prograde, the circle with a dot in the middle and the 3 lines on the top and sides that'll cause your plane to keep pointing in the direction it's going, which because of how trajectories work means that it will smoothly pitch down just remember to turn that off once you're finished pitching down, then you can let the 'autopilot' pitching up of the planet's curvature to smoothly pitch up again by alternating between these occasionally, you can have a smooth if a bit up-and-down flight helpful tips from someone who has made and flown an excessive amount of planes in ksp1

0:53 Methane only produces water and carbon dioxide as exhaust, so it is actually pretty clean. Methane would be a very good choice if you want to replace oil-based fuels, largely because there are already a lot of systems that use it. Methane is also much cheaper than other fuels, about half the cost of gasoline. So, methane is something we should like.

Lower atmosphere causes faster speeds because of less air resistance. The human body could run much faster without air around it. Possibly fast enough to rip its own muscles from its skeleton.

@@adora_was_taken The human body has inbuilt limiters that can be released via adrenaline. This is a known fact. These limiters are mostly to prevent the body from snapping muscles or crushing its own bones. There are records of people cracking or even breaking their own arms, legs, or ribcages in experiments where they push themselves to the absolute limit of what their body can withstand while in a state of mind where their body is naturally producing intense amounts of adrenaline. Mostly extreme sports. Though it is more rare than simply tearing a muscle or snapping a tendon. But these limiters also serve a purpose of preventing the body from ripping its muscles from the skeleton. However... these limiters are built to function in earth's atmosphere. If you were able to go into a similar gravity situation, maybe even a bit lower, with zero wind resistance and run at a speed several times faster than would be possible inside of earths atmosphere... then it's entirely possible you could push yourself so far as to literally rip your own leg muscles off your bones.

@InterndotGif - I am pretty sure there was a Trim function for avionics in KSP-1. I don't know if it's in KSP-2... 🤔 Also you can find the stall speeds when you fly in a straight line reducing the throttle making the plane slower and slower until it stalls, add a few knot's or MPH or KPH to get the landing speed. Also ... Move the main landing gear closer to the center of mass maybe mount the mains under the engines and because it's a nose wheel then the Maine need to be just behind the center of mass Love the landings 😂 perfect landing 😁 😆😂😆
