Welcome to Episode #80 of Stay Fishy Adventures! We continue our adventure further down south in beautiful Patagonia Chile. Searching for the largest salmon in the world. Did I just see you guys going threw Big Pine, Ca? 😊
What if someone wanted to plan a trip to Chile? Is it one of your notellum river areas or does your compadre guide other gringos?
yaaaa....les goooo
💛...holy moley...i wonder if it's possible to transplant some of those salmon up to california?...our seasons have been closed for 2 years now and our so-called green-gov has almost decimated our entire fishery with his policies...it would be nice to see those in our rivers again...have a good, safe adventure down there...

Introducing non native genes to a river is exactly what ruined the runs here in the PNW. Broodstocking is the only way to keep the native genes in a river and the only method hatcheries should use to spawn fish. But no they keep planting fish from different rivers with different genetics in other rivers which continues to mess up the genetics of our rivers. That's a big factor in why there's been a major decline in both wild and hatchery returns.

That's a long way to go just to catch a tule.

What stock are they from? I was under the impression these fish originated from Lower Columbia River tule stock.@@StayFishyAdventures
