Inking has saved quite a few of my watercolor paintings. And, it’s fun!

Hullo Shayda, I remember when I took care of my nieces and nephews for my Brother and Sisters. I would put down a collection of paint "blobs" and gave the kids a selection of water brushes with an assortment of colors and let them "finish" the paintings! Not quite the recent reverse coloring books recently released, but I would pick a subject and let them finish them. From flowers, cats, dogs even farm landscapes! They then had something to take home and show Mom and Dad what they did with Uncle Michael! I think the wider range of brush pens and markers give everyone a wider range of tools to create art they can be happy with. Thanks for showing another rescue process that can help us All!

You certainly taught me to draw! I have never mastered painting so this type of line and wash works best for me. Thanks to you, I’m becoming more proficient at mixed media, adding brush pens and coloured pencils and even graphite or charcoal pencils. So…many thanks for all you do. I’m quite certain that I’m not the only one who appreciates you!

It is so often the problem with my paintings that I didn't get enough tonal variation. And almost always, it's the dark tones I didn't get right. It's hard because it's watercolor and while you're painting, you think you have it right. Then it dries! I've been making myself NOT reach for a black pen, but this reminds me that I do love a good ink and wash. It really turned into something lovely. Thanks!

Oh, The snow out the windows. We haven’t had snow since 2015

Love this kind of video. I always lose confidence when the paint starts to go sideways. Having tips to try to bring it all back together is so helpful Btw- have you used watercolor markers? Would love to see how you use them

Tombow pens are decent. I just saw 2 for $8 on Amazon.

A black pen has transformed MANY unappealing watercolor paintings into pieces that look great!! I'm a big fan of inking over watercolor ❤❤❤❤❤

I have tried to do this in the past, but never quite got to achieve this beautiful illustration effect, and now I understand why!! (I used a fineliner, and my lines needed to be a lot sketchier 😅) And I know how to fix it, YAY!! 🤗 Thank you!! 🙏 Watching you draw is not only relaxing and inspiring, but also troubleshooting! 😌 (Fetching a brush pen and browsing my sketchbook right now! 😉) 🥰👏👏👏😃👍

I don't like those scratching noises with pens, do you? And a bit of soft background music eartlier would be great.

i dont really like this type of video,i prefer your video with voice over and nice editing... cause its more aesthetic for me,sorry 😁 but its ok i still watch it,but skip alot cause its less interesting 😢
