Thank those who like to mod cheats into games so that when you play online they have the advantage. I don't know about any other title, but GT did it because of folks editing their save game to have all the cars and other things. It's funny how you only complain as if this happened in a vacuum, something compelled them to even go through the same file integrity check every time you login and when you're completing content. In a perfect world there won't be people who cheat in multiplayer, but this isn't that, so you'll have to take the good with the bad. I have no idea why any of the Crew games cannot be played offline, no one complained to Ubisoft about cheaters in their racing games. Large game file that's just a useless map without Internet connection.

@@evilformerlys4704 There is zero excuse for a single player game mode to be always-online only. This has nothing to do with cheaters in multiplayer and everything to do with DRM and publisher greed.

The fact that GT7 won best progression just goes to show how terrible this genre has become, it holds your hand through the menus and then there isn't really anything after that. Frankly it's embarrassing and frustrating

Problem with modern racing games is they all follow the same formula: shove the MC into some sort of race festival and give him a powerful car from the getgo. No trying, no risk, no reward. Just a giant playground where the only endgoal is to collect as many cars as possible.

Bro used the same Google Sheet template i used to do for college presentations like 5+ years ago LMAO.

No developer seems to be able or even want to create good progression anymore. Either it's too easy because you get everything for free like in Forza Horizon or it's a dull grind like in Forza Motorsport. It can't be that hard to make the game feel rewarding without being too easy or turning into a second full-time job...

Innit. There's so many braindead comments going "no mirror reflections = game bad" as if the game doesn't have some of the best visuals and animations of any racing game ever. Having proper mirrors and the game running fine would've meant the mirrors would've looked utterly dreadful beyond belief and barely even function

@@bigmooseplays It so stupid when you objectively look at the racing games that released this year. Motorfest compared to The Crew 2 is such a massive improved in so many areas. Forza Motorsport on the other hand really doesn't do a single thing better than its predecessors, or even its more arcade spin off in Horizon. You can't even argue the physics make a difference either. Because both The Crew Motorfest and Forza Motorsport are very unrealistic, the only difference is that one of them is marketed as an arcade racing game lol.

ive recently been bashing night runners prologue and its amazing. the handling is a bit jank but overall its a great game

This is how awards should be 🏆 If some random big awards giving company gives an award They will be not good (most of the times). For example the "Game awards" this year gave the best racing game award to "Forza Motarsport" which is absolutly terrible. 0:07 You relly are a race-ist 😂♥.

I seriously think that's because hardly any racing game has its own identity anymore. Every open world racing game wants to be like Forza Horizon because it's been the most successful in recent years. On top of that, the developers are usually just chasing trends to expand the target audience as much as possible.

just with every genre, not everything in the genre will be popular. racing genre is no exception. in the 1st week that Forza Horizon 4 released, it had 2 million players. on steam, the game sold 5.3 million copies as of April 2023. 5.3 million people bought the game. i bet there's more players than this number on game pass.
