Great job replacing the capacitor! However WD40 isn't a lubricant, white lithium grease spray will be much better. Also you're rather handsome especially hairstyle and glasses!

Glad that the fix worked for you. Another fan saved from landfill. You should probably send this video to the "professional" or company that you engaged previously lol. They are basically conning people into thinking the fan is beyond repair.

hi, may I know the capacitor specs pls ? is it 1.8uf 500v 42*10*20mm Pitch=41mm ?

Hello, I bought the capacitor from Carousell by searching the fan model + “capacitor”, so I am not sure about its specs just know it is 1.8uf and compatible with my fan. Hope this helps.

Depends on your model, probably can google for the technical specs of the model to find out the type of capacitor.
