No blocks in the rear leaf springs means they upgraded those to probably either Deavers or Icons.

Love the new raptor!!! Congrats man!!! And just got my hats today and they are amazing quality!!!

When you were looking... did you compare any other gens such as 3? I am looking at Raptors and really want a 3 but having a hard time getting over sticker shock and really don't want to pay that. Thought about a gen 1 with the old V8 but finding a good example clean and no rust is a challenge and lower mileage

I just primarily was looking at gen 2’s since that was within my budget. I absolutely love the gen 2 body style but I have heard many upgrade to the gen 3 and say they really like the gen 3 better than the 2.

@@f1fiftyjimmy I've heard the same thing but definitely a decent jump in price. However, I've seen some lower mileage gen 2 that are still in the lower 60 range. Gen 2 do have the best look in many ways in my opinion as well. The upgraded wheels made your raptor look so good!

I own a gen 3 raptor. The gen 3 is better in every way between the interior/refined the transmission/exhaust sound so much better and the 5 link suspension feels like a Cadillac going down the road. You will pay more for a gen 3 but It’s well worth it.

Very nice. I found your channel because I have a 2011 5.0. Let me know if you have anything from the old truck you are looking to get rid of. In the meantime - we look forward to the new content. My only recommendation would be to go with the Husky X-Act Contour floor liners. I’ve tried them all - these are the best I’ve found.

What mile range do you recomend getting if looking for a used one ? and what are some things to look out for ?

I’d say depends on what price you’re looking to spend for the mileage. One thing I did on a 2018 I was looking at was I researched the carfax, seen it had listed some sort of mechanical repairs and they had the shop listed. I called the shop gave them the VIN and they were able to tell me they did a full valve job. Look for clues like that. Listen to cold start and see if your hear cam phaser noise, check leaf springs if their flat if so they need replaced. Check sunroof (if it has) operates smoothly.

How much did you get it for? Millage? Im in the process of buying/hunting.
