it's smoooth. For what I could edit all together! but it ran very nicely!

I just had the idea to mod CS2 (when it releases) to perform similar to TF2, then I stumbled upon your channel, watched a ton of your vids (including this one, subbed!), and learned all about the progress Amper has done to essentially port TF2 into S&box. Great to see I'm not the only one who wants to see a smoother and less janky version of TF2, especially if they're looking to balance this version of the game more from the original!

Seeing this there is no doubt in my mind that when s&box goes to public beta someone will start remaking the half life 2 campaign in this game. its running on source 2 and a huge chunk of half life 2 assets have already been remade ether from half life Alyx or from the project 17 devs. The reason why its harder in HLA is because its keyboard and mouse mode it has built in for map testing is janky as hell and can't really be modified. S&box may literally jumpstart another Black Mesa source like project for HL2.

Yeah with what Garry and Facepunch are doing is really trying to create a proper streamlined framework in a fork of the source 2 engine to really get people to easily create content for the game while helping them to get it out a lot more quicker and easier. It's gonna be interesting once a lot more people get their hands on this game.

It amazes me to see people with slightly pessimistic comments about S&Box or trying to point out mistakes that are not only obvious and it's already been explained why they happen, but they try to beat S&Box just because they don't fulfill their selfish desires... for me it's a miracle that it already exists. By the way, great video, I didn't think I'd see another well made and professional TF2 Source 2 video for another 1-2 years... and that a lot of people played with you in a project that isn't finished yet.

Only thing it's missing is the rimlighting and shaders that each player has.

They should make Soldier and Demoman the same way as they were back in 2007. Back at that time, demo’s stock grenade launcher had 30 grenades instead of 16, and soldier’s stock rocket launcher had 36 rockets instead of 20. And anyone who thinks this is too overpowered have skill issues.

I mod the Engy Fortress Server for ETOL. Do you happen to know if the source 2 engine is limited to the current hard cap of 2048 edicts for tf2? Currently if you hit 2049 (or higher) TF2 Crashes. This limit is seriously holding me back from doing the stuff I want to do. Thanks

Personally I'm not a huge rocket jumper in Team Fortress so it'd be difficult for me to determine how close to the real game it would be.

I just have a Big-ass problem NONE Of the maps are orking and the game fucking crashes after trying to play and nobady is playing ALL the servers are empty Please help me with the problem if you can

Pretty sure Source 2 is more optimized than Source 1.

2:04 Why do i find it so funny that the classes people complain about the most are not there

I find it hilarious that 2 years into the S&box dev preview most of the content is super low quality and there are only a handful of worthwhile gamemodes like tfs2 or fortwars. The maps are even worse due to how tiny the asset library is

By the way, many people from TF2 Source 2 have real lives behind them and many left the project temporarily because of school, university, work... It's not easy, shit (I'm not rude to you, but to reality, reality doesn't forgive to nobody). Life is hard, raw and time waits for no one. They can't make a living just from a fan project of a game from almost 16 years ago... :(

The game's been in development for a long while yes. While I do agree there is low amount quality content currently in the game. the game's not even out yet lol. regardless if you agree or disagree with what I say, it'd be worse if the game would be released in it's current state. 🤷‍♂️

@@Eridium77 I blame facepunch for not focusing more on actually giving devs assets to work with. If we had a big library of assets like we did in gmod with Valve stuff, there would've been a ton of quality maps by now. It's hard to iterate on stuff and come up with ideas when you don't have any assets.

Tbh, they can do a lot with tf2 source 2 to make it substantially better than the original, but still possibly not as popular as the original. Like, they could add back strangifiers and chemistry sets to make collectors items, but let's say there isn't a way to get many items with real money, obviously, then something they could do is an actual ingame currency, that isn't metal or keys, like an ACTUAL ingame currency. Which would be funds, very similar to the funds in typical colors 2, a very well made recreation of tf2 in roblox. Basically, after each match, you would get a set amount of funds depending on how well you did, or something else, whatever, with these funds you can go to the mannco shop, which you can use these funds to buy items. Simple concept, I know, but it's interesting to think about.

@@Eridium77 in all honesty, it could be some sort of addon for the gamemode that someone could make that adds all the different cosmetics and other items and such, while it has a low chance of happening, it would still be cool to see. Maybe someone could be commissioned to do so.
