I remember when my Dad bought the recorder for me. It was an easy instrument to learn, and I felt so proud that I could play it. But now I realize that almost every kid that went to a public school music class was forced to play. But really, I enjoy the recorder.

My ears have been blessed.

I'm in my bed. It's really late. My eyeballs felt like they had anchors tied to them. Yet, the universe decided to trick me into watching this video. Tonight my eardrums have been baptized in the name of the recorder. My mind has lost its virginity. Not a bad start to the end of a day. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

tip from experience: make a "d" or "du" sound with your tounge, when you play, and that doesn't make it sound like its going through puberty!

My sad recorder story... Between 3rd and 4th grade I moved from a school that taught recorder in 4th grade, to one that taught it in 3rd. So I forever missed what may very well have been the most rewarding experience of my 57 years :-(
