@@Gloryboyquan Vita and PSP are different things. PSP is by far the best handheld that Sony has ever made. Nowadays its retro feel, games and overall vibe is priceless. As a vita user, playing PSP games on the Vita is nice but playing them natively is a whole different experience. Moreover if you ar egetting a vita just to play psp games, I can say it's not the best choice. In many countries there are various current and powerful handheld devices available for almost the same price as the Vita. Pluıs when paired with windows, these devices become much mmore versatile, allowing you to play both ps games and the rest of the windows library

​​@Gloryboyquan both have their strengths and weaknesses. I find myself picking up the PSP Go for a lot of PS1 and PSP games that don't really need the 2nd analog. The Vita is great for denser titles that either had a weird control scheme or only released on the Vita for a portable version. Edit: that last point is mostly referring to Titan Souls, by Acidic Nerve. That said, I use it for Freedom Unite, as well as the Pinball games

@@Gloryboyquan If you're only comparing the devices in terms of hardware and even though there's almost a century gap between them, you probably don't know much about this topic. The PSP was a device that offered great graphics and long gaming sessions during its time. No other technological device at that time could deliver console-like graphics as well as the PSP did, with such good battery life and capability. That's why while 80 million PSPs were sold, only 15-16 million PS Vitas were sold

I was lucky I bought a ps vuta for $70 on eBay. The seller list it as for part or defective. He told me the back touch was not working. But when I got it it was working perfectly. I also got it with a 32gb SD card. Now I have both psp and ps vuta

Nice! I was hoping to get a PS Vita a few months ago, since I ordered it from Japan, but it sadly never arrived. Thankfully I got my money back, but it was unfortunate that I didn't get it. So I picked a PSP as an alternative. I know that the PS Vita is a better option, but I'm having fun playing with my PSP. I might get a PS Vita someday in the future. But today is not one of those days unfortunately.

Suggestions: 1) Get a microSD to Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter. You can get one for $3 online. 2) Games!! Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite is an all-time favorite. Lumines 1 and 2. GOD OF WAR, both games. Daxter. N+ is a better platformer than Mario... fight me. Dead Head Fred. Final Fantasy 1-6. Ape Escape: On The Loose. Star Wars: Battlefront, all of them. PS1: Armored Core. Final Fantasy 7-9. Diablo w/ advanced control scheme. Sanvein. Hexen. 3) MUSIC!! I use my PSP Go as an mp3 player, too!! Edit: one of the things you couldve told them was that there were also UMD movies released for the PSP. I personally had Alien and Æon Flux: The Complete Animated Series from MTV. One of my friends had Tron (which, at the time, I had on VHS at home). 2nd edit, I love this too much: the PSP is also capable of video out. I invested in the cables and dock to get my PSP Go on the TV, and it was worth it. With the Go I can use a PS3 controller, with yours youll still be using the buttons on the PSP.

Yeah, a microSD is in my planning stages. As well as a stronger battery, since my PSP battery only lasts 5 hours at max. I was hoping to get a GTA PSP title for the PSP at the game store, but no such luck there.

​@Asaylum117 if it's OEM, you also need to watch for swelling. DONT TRUST THE INSTEN batteries... half the time they're duds!! I had GTA: Liberty City Stories by the time I hit 16, found it in a used book store for $15 (or just a couple PS3 games, the store did trades). If you don't mind going all-digital and have some soldering experience, there is a battery mod that let's you use a cellphone battery. You'll have to harvest the connector terminal from your OEM battery and remove the UMD drive. I personally wouldn't recommend this for now, but keep it in mind for later.

I also did see Nintendo DS at the game store I was at a month ago, but I didn't get it, since the lower screen was very dirty and also because old Nintendo games are insanely expensive to get physically for old Nintendo consoles.

My parents would kill me if I asked for PSP cuz it's expensive asf

Been there bud. My mother literally went nuts when I bought a PS3 for myself. My parents hate gaming, so getting a PSP was out of the question back in the day. They always see gaming as childish nonsense, even though there are a lot of games that aren't aimed at children. Literally every survival horror game & Rockstar game come to mind. 🤣

After listening more to your video I agree, stay with the PSP if you have money for a Vita grade if not I wouldn't worry about it enjoy what you got it's all fun we're all in the same boat and it's great

Nice i got a ps vita its a lot lf fun but i feel like getting a psp to play it's own native games on it rather then running it on adrenaline on my vita
