Very much appreciate this video!! I have watched it a few times as I'm trying to decide on this lift vs a couple other options here in the Ontario area. Not sure if you feel comfortable answering this question (no worries if not) but did you have any concerns about this lift not having ALI certification? I don't know if it matters from a home insurance perspective. I believe Lift King states that it does have CE certification as that is required over in Europe. Other vendors who do have ALI certification of course make a big deal about it but not sure if it really matters for a residential type environment. Many thanks!! Cheers Kevin Caledon, Ontario

Hi Kevin, first of all thank you for your appreciation of the contents I shared in the channel! It means a lot! In regard to your question. To be honest with you, I didn’t really go to that extent during my research. I knew they were CE certified, as they sell this units globally. As I acquired the unit for home use mainly and knowing so many local car guy with it, I didn’t have any concern. But not to say I never considered my safety. I am all for my own wellbeing when working with my cars and constantly having in mind my safety when operating or using the lift. I make sure it is well maintained and serviced by me. Always paying attention with undivided time when opening the lift.

Thanks so much for your prompt reply!! These guys have been in business for a long time and sounds like they have good customer service and stand by their products. You were lucky to have a great installation crew there who obviously take pride in their work and fortunately were willing to share their expertise. I agree that this machine requires your undivided attention when in use. I'm pretty tight on ceiling height (10.5') so will definitely be paying attention when lifting my wife's little convertible (don't want to be having that conversation if it hits the roof lol). Was your floor at an angle,and if it was, did you find any binding with the lift?

My garage floor do sloped down slightly toward the door to allow water to run off. I placed 1” rubber pads under the 2 front post to compensate a bit, but I can’t say there is any binding. The lift works well and moves freely. I am not sure if this what you meant by binding!?

@@patricktenn7996 In the process I did consulted Ross @Lift King and I was told that the 4 post lift is awesome in terms of garage floor that are uneven.

What model is this? What is the measurement end to end?
