Yoo skills what's goodie... I may be wrong or not , but I believe once you reach level 20 it is better to level up your weapons first .. bc on the blue core gear it really doesn't give you 20% protection overall as to main core. If you can explain or give your info towards it I gladly appreciate it

I'd recommend farming weapons. There are way more weapons and named weapons, and you can always only put one on at a time. Brand sets you can put multiple on and exponentially raise proficiency. Weapons are also the only thing worth expertising, so you need steel and materials you get from deconstructing weapons.

I have a TIP. If you spend your SHD points in money, u get 10k for each point. An offensive mod costs around 4500, you can buy two mods with 1 SHD point and when you break, u get 6 printers filament each. So, with 1 SHD u can get 12 printer filament instead of 10 right in the shd watch. May not appear too much but when you spend a thousand points or more, u can get a lot extra filaments 😎

Great tip - still works as of April 2024. Takes a long time to buy the mods and break them down, but worth the extra 2 filaments per point.

Congrats man. I recently came back and my lvl was 400. Im now 600+ and my expertise lvl is 4.. got a long way to go but I am enjoying the game. 👍

It has probably been answered somewhere in these comments but how do you move past expertise level 1?

Now it's time to grind for those 55 exotic components to upgrade each weapon

I'm on level 15 and it's getting harder and harder to progress without running Warlords over and over again. All my gear and most normal weapons are already proficient. It's now exotic weapons, pre order weapons, skills and specialist left.

You can mark the Item for trash go to the station on expertise and push the butten for spend trash.

6 pieces is where it's at when leveling brands & sets. The additional 2 gives you an incredible boost in brand/set exp. Then you head to non-invaded capitol hill, get to the end, then ignore the SAM/radar system and just pour hell into the door where they spawn. be it aoe skills like chem launcher, hive, flame turret w/e. Make sure you re-roll the core attributes on the brands you plan to get proficient with before heading out there AND bring multiple sets. Also, you can play this on normal, the increased exp from yellows isn't worth the drop in exp/hour since we're running non-optimized, non-calibraded, 6 pieces. It's the way to go after they nerfed the tombs emp exp spot.

this is fixed. The spawn isn't infinite.

I got EVERY THING in the game to it’s max expertise level. I did this a couple of weeks back. Initially I ran around with some really weird builds on and I bought everything from the venders. I then ran Warlords over and over and over for resources. I then upgraded some of my favourite builds to 20%. And I have to say the improvement is meh! I can safely say I’ve not put this much effort into any game for such an unimpressive reward. 🤨 Oh and it is pointless upgrading the armour on any all red rolled gear. Pointless!!! The extra survivability you get is not even measurable! Oh and improving the Reviver Hive gives you increased area!???? WTAF!!! Ridiculous!

@@NothingButSkillz Rerunning Warlords was actually the bit I enjoyed the most. Levelling up in this game is the best. Tho I did cheat a bit by saving some decent stuff at levels 33, 36 & 39. I then used this stuff on every run. I currently have my main character and 3 others at the point where I’ve just shared resources on the watch. But I’ve lost the incentive to continue right now cause the rewards were disappointing.

This game has a lot of lazy people…mashing that button isn’t even remotely the problem. Lmao the darn amount of resource consumption for each upgrade in the beginning is the problem.

I wanted to ask if I gave a team mate a weapon that I leveled up to my expertise level. Will this weapon perform at my expertise level?

I did the same strategy. Within a week I was 15. I only play like 5 hrs a week. I'm currently stuck at 18. It's been a grind after 15

Another really fast way to expertise is SHD level dependent, but if you are SHD 2800 or higher, hands down the fastest way to level up is just running new york over and over with new characters to get those shd level points amd dumping them into printer filament and just manually leveling up. This method is best for all those random items you rarely use, so once you're done with all your brand sets and get down to specific items you need, and is unparalleled for leveling skills. Takes about 3.5 hrs to do solo, if you're fast, and you can level up about 5 items from 0 to proficient with your resources.

I wish mine was higher my shade lvl is 1751 which only allows me to max out 3 items.

How did you get diamonds to actually use the proficiency on items?

Just play with the gear you have to build proficiency instead of farming for weapons/gear to donate. I've been doing this (on Hardcore) and I've had a lot of fun using weapons and gear that I otherwise have never used and I forced myself to create builds I would never have put together, which can be scary on Hardcore mode.

Literally easier and faster then upgrading every single piece of gear you have on your main character or in your stash...is expertise lvl maxed out at 20 or what's the max?

My issue is I still haven’t found the assault rifle , smg, lmg crafting bundles to help me optimize my favorite weapons

Did you know that you can buy the bundles at the crafting vendor?

There's an SMG that I can't find, the UMP45. It's not in my blueprints, and it never drops, any hints?

To level my gear up fast I used 3 and 3💯

I got to lvl 20 in like 2 weeks when it came out. But that wasn't good coz I had no reason to keep playing, so I say just play and enjoy, over time ull have it almost max and the exclusive things you just use donations.

I wish someone would put out a list of things to do like sell your proficiency gear or weapons to buy the weapons and gear you don't have or make the weapons or gear and how much of each for an efficient point ,or build weapons or gear at the crafting tableor get 4 in a lobby and collect stuff for a couple of hours. Then go the white house and trade amongst ev1 or go to areas like the train by Jefferson plaza or key boxes around the city. No offense bro but when I listen to KZread content I tend to get bored because, not saying you do but ppl tend to ramble instead of staying on point.

So how much time took to reach E20 lvl?

I wouldn't even bother to start with target farming pistols. You're always gonna have one equipped so it will gain XP by default. I focus on the other weapons and either let whatever pistol level up as I farm. Or just purchase them as they cycle thru the vendors.

Can this be done in the submit?

Check the expertise leveling now - seems you need more than 2 items per level now

Does it matter what difficulty you put count down on? What would you recommend?!

Im level 1 and I’ve played every day since day 1 but stopped for one year 2020 , I don’t even bother with it what’s the point none

I just got there too but I can't do anything because of my exotic drop rate,,,

Good video but halfway thru I was exhausted already...seems to be a clever Ubisoft way to get us to grind this game even further. I like the game but not that much!

Any one maxed skill or weapon till us if it is Worthy?

Is it a console/PC thing or have they changed the requirements. my game (pc) shows 0/200 rather than the 0/140 in this and other videos I have seen.

I know it's an old question, but if anyone still wants the answer: to reach lvl 1 to 3 you need 100 points (each). From 4 to 15, 200. 16 to 20, 140. 21 and 22, 90 points. If I have been inaccurate, someone please correct me.

the more items that are proficient the higher your expertise level is which mean you can put that expertise level on your gear. So If i'm 20 or 23 expertise i can add that to my weapons and get 20% more weapon dmg or 23

The end reward in power is not worth the massive grind and resources req Just lvl up as you play and hitting lvl 13 requires nothing but donating junk etc

You can't it's only available for lvl 30 so just ignore it or donate materials if you want everything completed

I'm watching this vid and I'm sitting here like, dam, Massive should be paying this dude. Like why isn't alllll of this information in the game? They give you 3 little images with a couple of sentences under them to explain Expertise. One of the biggest gripes I've had about Massive, since TD1, not enough tutorials, especially when introducing new methods of leveling.

Damn..Dammit... you play this for a living and are barely ahead of me!? Those last levels take forever though! Congrats!

Man, I love this game to death but it has become such a farm simulator! There's just no way I'm gonna do all of that and waste my time on getting everything. I know I don't have to but still, it's just occupational therapy at this point.

Agreed. They really need to make it less of a grind to be able to lvl up expertise or even optimize pieces.

I'm watching this video like every other one..great vids. But I noticed at level 20 you only need to get 140 points to level up...I'm level 7 and from level 4 I had to collect 200 points per level. Is this a bug?

The bonus isn't even remotely close to being worth the time involved. Expertise is a good concept but the benefits are minimal compared to effort. I duo Legandary frequently why do I need 1 percent lol

Makes it even worse that the stuff you upgrade is only for that particular item. I think if you upgrade an M4 for instance, all present and future M4's should be upgraded too with it.

Couldn't you get 20 pieces of 1 gear set or brand set and donate them to make it proficient

I GOT TO 22 EXPERTISE LAST MONTH

I just finished season level 100 now and during that process I am able to reach expertise level 3 and that it I am done, because I want to enjoy games I am not here to do a 9 to 5 grind jobs,grinding this much for expertise level which didn't even make ur gears or weapon invincible is totally useless and waste of time. Whoever behind this idea is totally dumb because no one likes to invest that much of time and in the end that reward is not even pleasant.totally disappointed will back to game when the final Target of manhunt will be available in next season.

I just hit 19 today. I'm not sure how I'm going to hit 20 since I don't have several items, such as the raid exotics.

I leveled them up to 20. With 32.000 scavenger points. I’m at shd 9000 now. So when I run WONY and end it I get 8000 scavenger points

I feel like I’ve been grinding forever and I’m only at level 11😢

it increases your damage by 20% if you level it to 20 expertise and you cna level your skills up by 20% for different things

How do you even know what your expertise level is? My scorpio is rank 10 expertise level 3 and I have no idea what any of that means and I've been playing for months. This system doesn't make any sense at all. Is expertise level a global thing or is it specific to a weapon? Where do you see your account expertise level if that's the case? How do I raise it for a weapon. The game just says my expertise level is too low when I try to increase my weapon. So wth am I supposed to do? Watched so many damn videos and I still don't understand.

So im at 10 now. and all i have left for gear is named pieces. it takes for ever to get them leveled. is just donating my best bet? I just put on as many named pieces as I can and are leveling them up all at once.

I'll never get to 20 cause I don't play raids to get the exotics or the bighorn in legendary

If you mean the banshee Unfortunately I think you’ll have to unlock the gunner specialization but I don’t remember if this was through paid dlc. Then you just level it up and spec your points into it.

I just checked and yes the specialization is part of the year one pack and you can still buy it if you do t have it yet.

Donate materials. But you should have the emp sticky bomb unlocked anyways. Just equip it and never use it 😀

@@putkins26 the emp sticky bomb was one of the rewards for a manhunt. If you progressed on the season reward tracker you should have all manhunt unlocked. Think it was Roosevelt so just toggle over mission til it says manhunt. But obviously you can just donate materials to make it proficient

I noticed that running a 3-4 piece of any brand/gear set works well to maximize level 10 proficency. Status effect builds also work aswell. If you been saving up on materials, use them on donating towards brand/gear sets/ weapons/ skills that you do not use. It takes a minute, and is expensive.

Funny how most people wont get proficient at the Eagle Bearer when they cant get it cuz no one plays the Raids. # FreeTheEagleBearer from the Raid.

You don’t have to own the Bearer or whatever AR. Just buy printer and maximize it. I do not have the regulus or the ravenous but there full expertised

Took me 40+ tries farming the Dark Hours raid for the EB to finally drop. Ended up not using the dang thing lol. For all the hype and rarity, it is such a mediocre exotic. This shouldn't discourage you from trying out the raid, its a solid raid and actually pretty fun with a good group. And who knows? You may be one of the lucky few that get it to drop within the first 10 chest opens.

So you donate the junk instead of break them down for materials to research?

you can do both but weapons only take 20 to level them. once you have that weapon levels break it down

the grind is to heavy, toook me 100.000.000 exp to get 1 just 1 specialization to lvl 10... 40-50 hours nonstop farming for 1

Countdown is a joke. Just had 5 ppl leave after the first hunter wave.

Will be good if countdown is soloable. Because on solo. At least won't need to worry about people not doing much and just ending up leaving.

Expertise in summary. Farm for items to farm. Boobisoft doesn't know how to create a usable system. MLG and streamers have created a system of min-maxing that pushes a developers hand to implement dog game systems. Farm for farm to farm. Dog system.
