I Finally Did It! I Made a Tutorial for my Custom Figures!
Ойын-сауық
After two years, I finally decided to make a brief tutorial for my custom figures!
800 pictures taken at 24 FPS. 8 and a half hours spent on animation (not including editing or tutorial) Created on an iPhone 11 ProMax using Stop Motion Studio Pro. Edited video with Adobe primer pro.
After I started really getting into Lego stop motion, I was never planning on animating with these figures again. But out of nowhere, after two years of being uploaded, all of my custom figure videos blew up. I had countless comments asking me to make a tutorial! I was never planning on making a tutorial because I feel the figures are not ideal for stop motion. But I felt I could not ignore the over 170,000 views that all of my custom figure videos have accumulated over the last week!

I was planning on just making a tutorial for the new Lofty figure. And after nearly completing the video, I found out that almost everyone was more interested in the old Lofty figure! So I went back and added him to the video. I still feel the new figure is much better. It’s more to scale with Lego and Mega Construx figures, and it has a simpler and cleaner look. But that’s just my opinion. Thank you all for your support and kind comments! You’re the best!!

I originally used clay. But sticky tack is cheap and useful for a lot of other aspects of Stop Motion.
Personally I think that the old figure looks more stylised and cooler, despite how unconventional it is for stop motion. It is also neat to finally see the figures that you made being used in a recent video.

Ya, it was crazy to pull these guys out and animate with them after two years!

Tutorial please please please I want to see how you made that because if I made one, then I would use cardboard or paper pumpkin or jack-o’-lantern

Old one looks plain, new is superior in every way 😂
I liked this. It's like a stikbot, but made out of paper, cardboard, and pipe cleaners instead of plastic and bungie cords.

I understand the whole custom figure animating pain, after I had seen yours for the first time I decided to make on for myself and now, after seeing this video i realized a couple things, first of all I built the whole limb system wrong, and second of course was how hard it was to animate. Maybe I'll try building it the "right" way...we'll see

I randomly got recommended a vid of yours that was 2 years old...and i immediately fell in love. take a sub.

This is so smooth man keep the good work❤
wow I actually came across ur work around a week ago and i really liked your figures. nice timing
this is so baller! love it. This is probably some of the best stop motion i've seen on youtube. keep it up!
FINALLY!!!! It you took you so long I figured it myself and made animation using the figures I made for my FMP. but I am so happy you finally did it!
been looking forward to this one !!
HOLY CRAP I WAS JUST ABOUT TO ASK FOR A TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MAKE IT ON THE VIDEO WHERE YOU SHOWED IT BUT YOU MADE ONE! AWESOME!
This guy is amazing! I love your videos so much!
The amount of time it probably took to animate this is admirable, looks like an awesome project dude!
I LOVE YOUR CONTENT DUDE! KEEP IT UP!
I don’t know why you suddenly appeared in my recommended but damn, I’m so glad you did. Keep up the great content! Also for a figure like this, I did a larger scale one using the ball and socket bricks, but it was sooooo hard to keep in one piece.
Cool animations keep up the work!
This is cool!
Omgosh I’ve been waiting!
Woah this is awesome im gonna make my fav characters with it
I really enjoyed it a lot thanks for this video however I was also thinking of entering the world of animation
I was waiting for thisss

You have come such a long way from 300 subs!
Somehow, the oldest video in this character video line got suggested to me. And now I'm here, this being your latest video, only having been released an hour ago. I gotta say you have an amazing sense of humour.
Yep this is a cool idea to make these figures
Hey man I might be the reason those videos have more videos cuz I watch them and im actually inspired by your characters
THIS IS FIRE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bro the ending was 🔥🔥 I was so ready to see a fight between the Lego and cardboard figure but then the video ended 😭

simple tutorial, well explained, I like it.
Thank you for show tutorial
This is a cool tutorial
That’s very cool
I Just found your channel from a 2-year-old video and I'm hooked?
The algorithm has blessed thee with the recommended section for many. Be aware that this may no longer occur in the future as KZread is made of stupid and some people are rotted in the brain. In other words keep doing stuff that interests you no matter what. You’ve made some marvellous work
I have a suggestion, upgrade your current custom figure with magnets to give it more mobility and possibly make it less of a pain to animate with
AWESOMEEE
You're like the Piemations of stop motion
The long awaited return of lofty
have ya tried magnetic ball joints? or a magnetic ring/washer with a steel or hollow iron ball would work too
Thank you mister loft sir 🫡
Now we need a mechagodzilla tutorial 😊
Ohhh yeeaahhh!!! Epic
Please make course for learning stop motion❤
Tanks for the tutorial
I just found your series then noticed this lol
Woah sick
Bout time the stop motion guy posted YAAAAAYYYYYY-
After buying Sticky Bones, I love the articulation, but I always wish I was able to include more personality. Interestingly, through every armature I’ve ever made, I’ve always used metal or some kind of wire. Cardboard and paper seems to be very versatile though. Who would’ve thought?
Tysm man New sub 🤩
Thanks!
Cool
What about a tutorial for the non-rotate torso?it can’t be hard,right?
Looking forward to the Lofty bar fight.
The facial expressions are perfect
Can you make a tutorial to make weapons for the figure?
I wanted to make action figures(not even for stop motion) and now i have it. The new design is better for me(because i don't have magnets). And i think i know how i can customise then. Is there any information how i can make this action figure in new design, but with female body shape?
If I don’t want to get use something Lego for it can I just put my own custom legs
How did you make your MechaGodzilla because I’ve been remaking my own Mech but I don’t have the right Lego pieces (I mostly prefer to use legos instead of cardboard and King Kong glue)
It looks so awesome but I’m to lazy to make it 😭
What do you use for sound effects? I just google the sound effects for stop motion videos
I recently stumbled across this series, I wonder if I can make a dinosaur stop motion puppet…
Its ok if this channel didn't made a turtorial about the figures i was amaze how he made mechagodzilla out paper and more

Pipe cleaners
I would like to see the goobers more often :)
Cool video
the last video was epic
yay finally
God dammit! I just left a compliment about how good and cool it is to see a character rig made of magnets on an older video of yours! Why is it bad? Does break often, or are the magnets just that anoying to animate with?
Dam i just saw this vid without a notification from just looking through ur channle
Can you make a video about your camera set up
well, i dont have pipe cleaners, i can use other thing to do the joints?
for the paper cylinders you put the pipe cleaner in, can you also cut straws to put the cleaners in?
@_Loft_Studios_
10 күн бұрын
I have tried straws, and the biggest problem is trying to glue them to the cardboard. School glue or superglue don’t work for some reason and hot glue melts the straws. But there might be a way to make straws work.
Yes!!!!! Finally!!!
Technically, it's an armor suit for a pipe cleaner figure if you thing about it.
Yay!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Watching it 2x the speed is crazy good
