I Finally Did It! I Made a Tutorial for my Custom Figures!

Ойын-сауық

After two years, I finally decided to make a brief tutorial for my custom figures!
800 pictures taken at 24 FPS. 8 and a half hours spent on animation (not including editing or tutorial) Created on an iPhone 11 ProMax using Stop Motion Studio Pro. Edited video with Adobe primer pro.
After I started really getting into Lego stop motion, I was never planning on animating with these figures again. But out of nowhere, after two years of being uploaded, all of my custom figure videos blew up. I had countless comments asking me to make a tutorial! I was never planning on making a tutorial because I feel the figures are not ideal for stop motion. But I felt I could not ignore the over 170,000 views that all of my custom figure videos have accumulated over the last week!

I was planning on just making a tutorial for the new Lofty figure. And after nearly completing the video, I found out that almost everyone was more interested in the old Lofty figure! So I went back and added him to the video. I still feel the new figure is much better. It’s more to scale with Lego and Mega Construx figures, and it has a simpler and cleaner look. But that’s just my opinion. Thank you all for your support and kind comments! You’re the best!!

Personally I think that the old figure looks more stylised and cooler, despite how unconventional it is for stop motion. It is also neat to finally see the figures that you made being used in a recent video.

I understand the whole custom figure animating pain, after I had seen yours for the first time I decided to make on for myself and now, after seeing this video i realized a couple things, first of all I built the whole limb system wrong, and second of course was how hard it was to animate. Maybe I'll try building it the "right" way...we'll see
