There are different types of rider: 1. Equipment Rider (the one you show in your video) 2. Hospitality Rider (this is for Travel, Accommodation, drinks, food etc.) 3. There's a lesser known rider for Disabled Musician's (like myself) called an Accessibility Rider (these are requirements that ensure that the musician can perform to the best of their ability, such as ramps for those in wheelchairs, neon tape for people with low vision, Sign Language interpreters for those who are deaf/hard of hearing etc.)

Kimmah started with a "safety rider" which is in particular necessary for female dj's. Things like: security personel, people checking if everything's safe, unauthorized people not being able to access the backstage, guidance from the entrance to the dj booth, etc. It started with her feeling unsafe whilst dj'ing.

@@davidlozano7546 Mate DJs died in mid 2000s when the DJs started playing tiny 1 hour sets for low attention span Millenials😗 Back in the day you went on a journey with the DJ proper 5 to 6 hour sets maybe longer thats called a JOURNEY.. Now its just cram every DJ in 1 hour set and blast some over compressed Abelton tracks so called BANGERS 😂 into an overly expensive night. 🤑 Also the DJ does more jumping around like a muppet with his hands in the Air than actual mixing just waiting for some stupidly long drop. and then congratulates himself like some kind of god for playing producing yet another long and loud DROP🤣 Rinse and repeat.. Like most pro DJ (who are really DJing), James Hype could probably make people dance the same with an old pair of 2 CDJ 800 (with a short notice before so he could burn some CD), but people pay to see him and so he have to put some standard in the way he perform. The same way you don't wan't to see DJ Craze or A-Trak playing on a pair of CDJ 200 even if they could do it. Also, people forget but lot of DJ in the 90s were bad even though they could play on mk2 or using that 2 CD rack player, we just only remember the good one :)

if you run into weird issues using the DJS-1000 on Channel 1 (as Player One) via LINE while switching back and forth with a CDJ3k on DIGITAL, here's other options that work: he DJS-1000 can act as a fifth player on a pre-CDJ3K four Player Pro DJ Link setup if you change PLAYER MODE (in Settings) to Drum Machine Mode (the DJS just can't become the MASTER player). you can also run the audio from the DJS into the RETURN of the A9 giving you the possibility of five audio signals simultaneously (and not driving the PRO DJ LINK Player No. cray). a weirder option would change the way you thought about your fourth CDJ, but you could use the DJS on channel one and then run the fourth CDJ into DJS via THRU into one of the DJS pads/tracks (change pad to THRU). you can do some really different things when a CDJ becomes just one of of the 16 DJS tracks but still linked to the other three players. this is all assuming you don't want to use the v10 (you could play with 4 x cdj-2000ns2 and 2 x DJS-1000 or 5 3Ks and 1 DJS). my 2 cents

At Any point in Time you can send a reasonable Rider. If you're still starting out and are used to your controller from home you can absolutely request space for that thing. You can also request simple things like Water. Just be aware of where you are and what you get paid to do. A rider is a option for the local manager to get into a conversation with you if something doesn't work out. It's also a sign for a professional appearance to have a document you can hand over with all the things you require/do. Just don't request outlandish stuff. Oh and add contact data/request a full contact from the locals so you've got proper channels to communicate.

It’s just too big of a pain in the ass to be a worldwide touring dj playing at hundreds of different clubs that only have pioneer gear, it’s not worth it. Unless he was getting an ongoing sponsorship check from Denon, it’s not a viable option. Denon dj gear is great but it’s never going to be actually used in clubs unless there’s a massive culture shift. CDJs are part of modern dance music culture and that likely won’t change for a long time

@@N.n.i.k yea, but Nvidia used to hold the crown for best computer graphics cards, especially for gaming, they were at the top for so long that they were blindsided when AMD announced something so much better. Intel slashed their prices like crazy to try and compete. The market is a bit more stable, but pioneer needs to keep innovating otherwise they're going to get blindsided too. It may not happen now, but it could definitely happen...

I was thinking you could just plug the DJS 1000 into aux channel and crank the volume on it since you don't need the EQs on that channel you'd have all 5 channels live at all times with no need to toggle between the 4th deck and the 1000

if there is an aux input on that mixer i would rather run the djs1000 through that so you can use everything at the same time without having to switch the input on channel 1

I am really interested in the reason you did not choose the V10 Mixer for plugging in more than 4 devices. It is surely much bigger and has differences in the controls and buttons.
