With so much pessimism around relationships, it's really refreshing to hear somebody talk openly in a positive way about past partners. I feel as if sometimes media asserts that every person who you break off from must be evil or that if you're currently in a relationship then it's taboo to appreciate or maintain a platonic or otherwise positive relationship with an ex. Thank you for sharing your story.

This was beautiful. I think every relationship we have helps us to understand what we deserve and what will make us happy.

What a beautiful story. Like many say, every relationship teaches us something, and people come into our life for a reason, and they also leave for a reason. Thank you, Joanne for sharing.

That was intriguing. I was hoping the guy you met was your current husband. But even if he wasn't I still wanted to listen to your story. Sometimes we learn things about ourselves in relationships whether romantic or platonic that help us. Sometimes we learn what not to do or who we don't want to be. So when can adjust things from there. Clearly you learned that you wanted a relationship that made you feel present and had passion. So something good came from that relationship. I once asked a man "So what's it like being married to the love if your life?" He said "I honestly don't know." So it's good that you didn't compromise. We should be in relationships with people that we actually love and respect. It seems odd to even say that though.

Watching this video at 0700 from across the pond🇬🇧 I think the gist of the story was that, you can find joy and happiness from unexpected circumstances and this in turn will give you so much confidence to lived more, do more, and just be a better version of yourself. Take a risk, stop judging yourself and take a leap when its free and safe. Stay Blessed❤

My husband and I are a biracial couple. I’m Mexican and he is Caucasian. Sometimes I may say “my husband this or that ...” to a stranger and when they see him you see their shock because they expected I was talking about another Mexican. I don’t look the stereotypical Mexican” you can see I’m Hispanic, so I get looks sometimes but I would not trade our love and relationship for the world. He’s perfect for me and vice versa! I love having our own culture and mixed heritage, it makes it all the more unique and special to us.
