It is partially his fault because it takes all the pressure off. All they need is a 1st down compared to scoring. I agree with missed opportunities. I mean Allen threw 3 deep balls that were all dimes and they dropped all 3 of them. But Bass needs to hit that FG, it's not like it was a 50+ yarder.

Maybe he forgot what hash he was on? It'd have been good on the left hash, I played it back and the ball placement looked good enough to send the ball end over end, but that ball sure hooked more and more as it neared the posts. Not blaming but at this level you just cannot miss that in a playoff game. A kicker’s job is different and anything less than 50 should be expected to be scored. The difference between the two teams ultimately was the kicker. If Bills had the Kansas kicker and vice versa, Bills may have won that

Vern makes that kick, you may not be guaranteed to win the game but at least you've done your job. You've given your teammates hope and now the pressure is on KC in a very hostile environment. Now you have momentum. Easier for you to win than KC. Miss the kick and you're just another jerkweed who can't do his job and KC has a very short path to winning. They have all the momentum and you're going to feel the weight of a whole state of fans because you didn't do the one thing they depend on you to do. The game wasn't just lost with that one play but yeah, it Was lost with that one play.

As a Browns fan I can say the only other team that has more heartbreaking playoff losses is the Bills. So close, so many times. From Norwood to Mahomes' Chiefs, I feel for Bills fans. For us it was Elway and the Broncos, choking away those three AFC championship games to them in the late 80s, not to mention Red Right-88 in 1981. There is nothing worse than losing close games deep into the playoffs to the same team, three times in four years.

Listening to the crowd SO reminded me of Arrowhead! Good people! I feel for them. Can you imagine how much it would hurt to make it to 4 consecutive Superbowls and not win even one? I'd rather have a 50 year drought!

@yvonne8786 - there was a lot of...I wish we'd done this or that on both sides. I agree it was a really good game. Could've gone either way. I'm glad we won but the Bills have nothing to be ashamed of. They had a lot of guys out and still almost won. It was nice to see our guys didn't get flustered by the very intimidating crowd. We've got to tackle better, tho. I thought the Bills played a tough game. Hope we play Lions in SB!

@@gregrichards1601 I watch the KZread channel titled How bout those chiefs. It's really good. The guy that runs it does play by play every game. He doesn't show the game but I love his commentary. They have live chats a couple days a week also. Everyone in there is pretty regular during the week and they are all really nice and welcoming. Check it out if you get a chance. You would probably really enjoy it.

Hey, KC fan here. Tell you what, I feel HORRIBLE how that game ended for you after another amazing regular season. You might not believe it, but I think Bills fans are some of the best in the NFL. I've had a soft spot for you since the Kelly/Levy era and I could almost cry with you when that kick missed like that. I'm glad KC won, but I wish it was against someone else. God bless Buffalo. Aw come on now. I'm a reasonably successful adult with a wide range of interests. Intellectually, I know it's "just a game" and I can't control it and it's all silly, but it still stinks when the team you like loses...even if your team is often successful. But on some primal level, it's hard-wired into our brains from millions of years of evolution. It's OK to feel let down. Doesn't mean people are losers or only like one thing.

It wouldn't of mattered anyway if he made the field goal. Chiefs still had 2 t.o. left and 1.43. They would have just went down In field goal range at 55 yards and butker would have won the game.

As a Bill's fan in my 60s I lived though the 4 straight SB loses Always felt for Jim Kelly and was hoping this year for him More so than me. But the future is bright so hang in their.

Travis Kelce said on his podcast that the wind gusts not only were real but also differed depending on location. Bass' kick looked like it got caught up in one of those wind gusts. On a calm day that kick might have sailed right through.

The Bills have been pretty dominant for 4-5 years now. Most teams don't get a window that long. The Bills window is closing quickly.

Even if he made that field goal the game was never going to OT since their was 1:43 left in the game , so we all know that Mahomes and the Chiefs would of easily gone down and either kicked the winning field go with a great kicker(Butker) or might of scored a touchdown with that much time left 🤷🏻‍♂️

As a Bengals fan, I know your pain Bills. I was there cheering for the Bills because my dad is a Bills fan. I SCREAMED AND SCREAMED for Buffalo, but it wasn’t enough. There’s always next season.

I feel ya Bills Mafia. For a long time I watched the Chiefs lose games like this. One memorable game was against the Colts when Lin Elliot missed THREE FG's!!! I sat through that one at Arrowhead and you could feel the devastation.

I remember when Joe Montana got a concussion. And Jim Kelly and the Bills rolled into another Superbowl. John Elway beating us in the playoffs. I personally thought I'd never see the Chiefs win a Superbowl... Fast forward to 6 years of Mahomes. Good times

As a fan since 1980….and have gone through multiple 2-14…3-13 seasons…I enjoy the playoffs, I mean I want to see them win!!! The Josh vs. Mahomes is like the old Kelly vs. Marino days! It’s just plain good football. As far as this game….when you’re signing players to your defense off the streets to START in the playoffs….and lose on a missed FG….not bad!! The Chiefs are going to get crushed in Baltimore next week!!!

I can sympathize with the one dude-I’ve been rewatching highlights since 10 AM! 😆🤦🏼‍♂️

It was a great game on both sides, I think the chiefs took advantage of the bills injuries in the linebacking core. I'm an adamant chiefs fan from chiefs kingdom. We went thru a 50 year drought. On watching last night's game I was rooting for the chiefs but if the bills would have won I would root for them to be in the SB.

That was a great season? I thought it sucked just like kid's season. I didn't know if the Bills were going to make the playoffs? KC made it only because their division was awful most of the year. We didn't have anybody who could catch a damn ball. Even Kelce struggled. And our fg kicker missed every4th xtra pt. Thankfully he was solid on long kicks. I thought both our seasons were pretty crappy!
