So do tell. Why does it matter? I don’t care about skin color of the owners of businesses where I shop. I’d LOVE to see a white personality do this. Hey!! I’m a white person and I own this business so shop here. Kind of alienates other races.

I don't think African Americans realize the power of our influence. We literally do everything better than other cultures, that's not to brag but it's a fact. The entire world is influenced by African American culture. They dress like us, wear their hair like us, talk like us, eat and prepare our food, listen and perform our music, dance our dances. We rarely consider how that makes other cultures feel, especially those who consider themselves to be our social and cultural competitors. So anytime we enter a space such as the grocery biz, other groups who already occupy those spaces will always be intimidated by our presence, because there's an intrinsic part of them that feels like they won't be able to compete with us. That's the real reason they don't want us there.

It's fantastic that you promote black owned grocery stores, and black owned businesses, period. Nobody attacks any other race of people for owning their businesses and employing only their people, which is overt racism! Trust that those who come with racism, hypocrisy, and ancient hatred, will be and are being dealt with by the mighty hand of The Most High.

When those people saw we didn't need or want them. They, became triggered because there was peace and prosperity within our community meaning the Original Black Wall Street, and they couldn't have that. What those people where looking at was generational wealth and they didn't want that to be our template for success. We need to get back to that mindset and support those that look like us, have the same mindset.

It’s the caucasity of them all including the Asian folks to make a fuss. It’s called entrepreneurship , supporting your own as they all do. Sooo tired of the RACISM! Please keep supporting black businesses, Ms. Ansah. I’ve encountered South Asians and other groups who have no qualms about recommending their own for jobs and other opportunities. Your detractors just want blacks to remain consumers so they can help to finance their business owners’ lifestyles and their kids’ education. They seem to be easily triggered when blacks become competitors to their businesses. Are they afraid blacks will exhibit racial pride and behave like them? Why are they so scared of black solidarity? No other group I know of encounters this level of scrutiny when engaging in the same type of behavior.
