Today, we're jumping on an exciting day out in Bellinzona and Lugano, two of the three main cities in Ticino, the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland- where I’m from🇨🇭🇮🇹
Ticino often remains a hidden gem because of its Italian language, causing folks to mistakenly think it's part of Italy, but hey, surprise-it's NOT! Ticino people exist, and we are Swiss! 👋
So get ready for a fabulous tour as we explore the stunning lakeside city of Lugano, taking strolls through its lush green park and vibrant streets. Later, we'll hop on a train and I'll guide you through the simple process of getting a ticket 🎟️ (a method that works seamlessly all across Switzerland yaayy)!
And for the grand finale, we're diving into Bellinzona, the captivating capital of Ticino, where we'll visit two out of the three UNESCO heritage sites - the magnificent Bellinzona castles! 🏰
