Glad you got to explore this and show us around. Love the 6 Series and those Fin tail Mercedes sedans are getting pretty hard to find hope someone will give them a full restoration and show them at some car shows. Also that Wolseley in the intro is pretty cool don't see to many of them around and always love those older G Wagons and Range Rovers. As always love the videos and can't wait for the next one.👍

That 911 at the start isn't a 964. Someone's fitted later bumpers etc. however, the interior gives its age away. it has the centre speaker on top of the dash making it a 70s car.

So many are part stripped, stored with windows down...very strange..

Wow There are some really lovely old classic vehicles up for grabs there. A lot of these are rare and collectible. I was like a kid in a sweet shop watching this video! A lot of these vehicles are ripe for restoration and putting back on the road.One of the VW campers would be my choice. These are worth serious money in restored condition. The owner is going to make loads of money from the auction of this massive lot. Thanks for this fascinating video

I was tempted as it's within cycling distance; decided against it. It was discussed on Pistonheads, and others had similar reservations: last minute, poorly organised, they only posted details to Instagram, finding stuff out seemed like a treasure hunt. But the biggest was the 15-minute viewing limit per person. I would easily spend that looking over one roadworthy car. I'm sure bargains were had, but the sellers dropped a bollock by not advertising or organising it properly. Happy to see you got to explore it, Colin - and without any of the typical KZreadr nonsense, like claiming (in all caps) that you 'found' it, or pointing to a BMW and saying "these had a V6 engine". Nope and nope. As an aside, whenever I see your videos I always wonder if there's any exploration tip-offs I can pass on. I know of some good stuff, but it ain't in the UK! Take it easy, man.

@sss_imperial79 Yeah, the whole thing reeked. The PH thread has interesting commentary - it's titled "174 barn finds for auction". Someone made reference to the owner complaining that it's hard to get half-done projects finished by a third party. It's true that body shops won't like to paint over someone else's prep, but that's a weird complaint to make when you have your own body shop. It's like standing in a full-stocked kitchen while complaining that it's difficult finding a restaurant willing to dice carrots for you... The 1973 Porsche 911 is either not a 1973 or it's been chaved-up beyond recognition, the 535i reg. E835 ACD reportedly has rot issues (reflected by its MoT history), several cars listed have incorrect models or reg. numbers. My mate emailed them; their reply apparently states that unsold cars will be eBayed. But they don't say what the eBay account is called, and again refer people back to Instagram. My mate (like me) doesn't consider it the job of the buyer to beg for details, so he's out. What a bunch of wazzocks. Glad I steered clear.

This collection has blown me away and it was a surprise from your usual finds. I am a big fan of Mercedes Benz, here I could just swim in them. The one car that is rare and would fetch a pretty penny is the MBenz at 15.09, the VW Camper at 12.29 and if it is the super rare 'Alpine' model with windows all round, the 2002 BMW's and many more. Even the parts bin are brimming. But, from some of the comments below, have to see where the sale goes. The building looks like it would have been a components or radio/electronics factory back in the day. So there would have been start stations at one end where raw components came in and these would go up to the finished product at the other end. Thanks for posting, love these cars to bits, but too far away and don't have the wads for another project. lol

Belgium here... I doubt that what you saw were Kubelwagons. Most likely what you saw were VW Iltis, a 4x4 used by the military up until recently. Oh, and that 'Harry Potter car wasn't. Potter had an Anglia and the car in London was a Herald.

They weren’t very mechanically reliable either from what I remember but in the end it was the poor fuel consumption that did for them as far as Postal service went. We got rid of them within 18 months then went to Escorts. Prior to that we had the illustrious Morris Itals .... don’t even start me on them ha ha... happy day’s. Mind you the Peugeot Bippers we use now are hardly much better! The Turbo on mine has already gone twice and I hardly do many miles, I wouldn’t buy one for love nor money!.......

Not so much optimistic more like in dreamland.

You can't fault the video or the enthusiasm it has generated from car guys who obviously know their stuff ( far more than me), but, and it's a big BUT - given the diversity of all the vehicles there is a story behind all of this which hasn't been disclosed, other than "storage space has to be given up......" plausible, but perhaps too conveniant. if i'm wrong, then respect to everyone involved.

Some of these cars were on aBay a few weeks ago. The two MG Midgets being two of them.

In relation to that red 1972 BMW. I believe it used to live in the village of Horton in Berkshire. It was out in a car park of a mechanic's garage for some years. I could be wrong though.
