Very COOL Buddy. So exciting. I guess by now you're living off the fat of the land, enjoying the seasons profits. 🙂I've been a small organic farmer for 40 years, nearly half of my life. But living in the burbs of Australia lately and working on selling up and farming in the Philippines or Thailand. ....... Been fascinated with everything Durian for many years now and I've just made the jump and started distributing fresh Thai Monthong from my home on a busy road. It's expensive here, fresh chilled Thai Monthong, delivered via plane every week to Australia sells for 80 Aussie dollars a kilo, or roughly. USD. $54 or 1,965 Thai Baht. Even at that price it's still selling like hot cakes, The Asians here love it but the Aussies are slow to catch on, but I'm sure they will eventually. Profits are small but I've found my dream job and loving it. Planing on selling fresh Durian from other countries too. This is all helping me to understand I want to stay financially involved with Durian. Do a job you love and you never work a day in your life. Yes so I'm really loving watching your videos. You explain all the important details really well. When I make the big jump to living in SE Asia I'd love to do the same kind of thing as you. I love growing papaya actually, but would be fantastic to have a Durian set up like yours with a few other rare tropical fruits as well. Thanks for leading the way Bud. Best regards. 👍🙂

Durian trees will naturally thin out the fruit. At this point to help keep more fruit you should be applying boron and calcium .apply by spraying on the fruit weekly .good luck 👍

Great channel Sir. Informative and captivating. We live in Samui and are planning to leave the island (it is getting crowded) and possibly buy a farm in the Surat Thani area. Just for fun since we are both farangs we cant make it a proper business.

Good for you Terry! that's a lot of durians to harvest in the next 2 month from just over 50 trees! Good health, good money! Will it be okay if i can come over sometime in future to learn the management of the farm? i'm about to open up small durian orchard, not so big just a little over 2 acre and would love to learn from you.

Great looking fruit orchard you have there Terry, I'm jealous . I see you dont prune the Durian tree to keep them short like i have seen on other orchards in the Surat Thani areas. I tend to prune my younger trees to keep them between the 4 and 6 meter range easier for me to harvest. Can you tell me what the pink color paint is on some of your Durian trees, is it a fungicide. Thanks

Hi Terry, just wondering if you can help? Does high wind area effect’s the amount of fruits you’ll have in a season. Also, what months of the year does your durian starts flowering? I’m just trying to judge whether my lands going to work. Lee

I appreciate the transparency but a few questions. You say $180k investment. Does this include absolutely everything to get to his point? Buy Land, cost of setting up property with pipes/pumps/trenching/tractor/drilling of ground well/water reservoir and anything else required for farm maintenance? Does it include cost of planting all trees and ongoing pest control and fertilisers etc? I presume the house is not included in this cost and I think if im not mistaken you commented that to acquire similar land now would also be alot more expensive, your timing worked out great. The other cost of course is the time put into the farm by yourself and your wife but I also understand from watching your videos that its as much a passion and a lifestyle as a chore so this works in your favour.

Mafai is one of my favorite fruits. Mayongchit, also known as Maprang, so good! But as for the durian, with 10tons at 185 THB/kilo is that roughly 60k USD? That’s not bad for that small amount of trees.
