I experiment with double sided mini waffle trivets on my CNC

This is an older video, that I thought I would upload. There may be some value to it. Hand held Camera is not so good.

Cool project! Since you're drilling through holes into the waste board anyway, you could just drill 2 more holes around the circle (90° to your current holes), then flip the part, rotate it, and index in those holes directly. But yeah, cool end product!

+n8guy Thanks. If doing one at a time, no problem. Doing same side on say 4, you loose your x/y 0.0 Or if 2nd side is done at a later time.

+Jim Steinbrecher In the case of multiples, you could reference the entire sheet in the same way you did, but then for each trivet, do what I suggested. As for retaining X and Y, as you said, that would mainly come into play if you were going to cut the 2nd side at some other time. Either way, cool project!

I know you did this experiment for a future purpose. I'll be interesting to see what that is? Thanks for sharing.

Would turn into a nice soap dish for homemade soaps. They need to drain and not sit in water like store bought soaps. I am wondering if you do a first set up and just make out a template with your markings on it for where you line it up for flipping it over.
